18U: INDIANA MAGIC GOLD-GODDARD 7, TURNIN2-ROBESON/LONG 0

Indiana Magic Gold-Goddard blanked Turnin2-Robeson/Long, 7-0, in the 18U championship game of the Alliance/HFL Midwest Fall National Qualifier on Sunday at Greenwood Sports Park in Greenwood, IN.

IMG-Goddard went 5-0, outscored its opponents, 34-1, and had a 0.28 ERA on the weekend.

“(I’m) so proud of this team,” IMG coach Jeff Goddard said. “(We have) seven returning players from last year along with seven new ones. So we’ve had a lot of getting to know them and seeing what we have to work with, and we are incredibly excited what this group can do. They played with and for each other and were super fun to watch and be around. Our veterans led by example and the new players fit right in and contributed in major ways.

“I can’t believe our uncommitted kids are still uncommitted. Whoever gets our 2027s (MIF) Reille Parks and (RHP) Kate Drury are going to be really happy. And our 2028 (CIF) Sophie O’Connell is going to be quite an impact player at the next level. (The) future is bright for all of these girls. It’s going to be a fun year.”

16U:  BOMBERS NATIONAL-JAMES 10, INDIANA MAGIC GOLD-CLANCY 9

Bombers National-James overcame a 9-3 deficit to beat Indiana Magic Gold-Glancy, 10-9, in the 16U championship game of the Alliance/HFL Midwest Fall National Qualifier on Sunday at Greenwood Sports Park in Greenwood, IN.

2029 1B Livia Talbot went 2 for 2 and 2028 P Caitlyn Beclher drove in two runs for the Bombers. 2028 LF Becca Zellner and 2028 RF Julia Shaw had multiple stolen bases for the Bombers.

2029 LF/2B Ava Zygmuntowski, 2029 RHP/SS Adriana Burke and 2029 RHP/1B Lydia Ramstad each collected two hits for IMG.
