Video Fun: When An Interview Goes a Little Off Course (Thanks to Her Teammates!)… With Speedy 2028 Beverly Bandits Outfielder Demi Lotus (November 22, 2025)

Demi Lotus can get on base by bunting or slapping thanks to her great speed.

Last weekend at the Clearwater Fall Classic, I had a chance to watch Bill Conroy’s excellent Beverly Bandits 16U team in action and saw something you will likely NEVER see in a game.

Demi Lotus, the 2028 former-infielder-turned-outfielder, came around to score and as she walked to the dugout, Coach Conroy pointed to first base and said, “Do it again.”

The talented sophomore nodded and went back to first to pinch run… and came around to cross the plate again, scoring TWICE in the same inning!

Demi is a major threat because of her great speed, thus her being asked to be a pinch runner by her coach. She was ranked in the Top 20 of the 2028 HOT 100 when it was released earlier this year.

Demi is also the team comedian according to her teammates who appear to really enjoy her personality on the team.

I tried to do a serious interview with Demi during a game—with Coach Conroy’s permission, of course—and, well, you see how much fun the outfielder’s teammates like to have with her!

You have to respect the outfielder’s focus on the questions I asked… even with the other Bandits players having some fun with her, trying to disrupt her concentration!
