Recruiting: Would You Believe 107 New Commits Since Sunday? Verbals to "State" Schools Like Colorado State, Oklahoma State & Oregon State! (Nov. 4, 2026)

A one-time commit to Grand Canyon University, 2027 outfielder/first baseman Ava Salcedo, who plays for the Oklahoma Athletics travel ball program, is now headed to Oklahoma State which is an hour and a half from her home in Washington, Oklahoma.

Since starting our 2026-2027 edition of the Master Commit Spreadsheet on Sept. 1, we now have now 1,4400 commits in the two months since then!

Of those, 612 are for the current junior class (2028’s) and 845 are seniors (2027’s).

These seniors included since Sept. 1 are in addition to the 2027’s who committed previously—the nearly 2,000 listed in LAST year’s Master Commit Spreadsheet?

Important NOTE about 2027’s: We are still getting a heavy number of 2027 commits coming in so if you’re one of those, feel free to send your info in to us to get added into our system.

NOTE: We publish the updated lists weekly–typically on Sundays & mid-week in the fall…

Today’s Commit Spotlight Is…

The senior from Florida is Georgetown-bound thanks to impressive softball skills and tremendous academic accomplishments including a 4.56 weighted GPA and a 34 ACT score.

Molly Mayfield is a standout 2027 catcher and corner infielder from Niceville, Fla. who has committed to Georgetown University in the Big East Conference.

The outstanding student-athlete with a 4.56 weighted GPA plays club ball with Intensity KOD 18U Premier and looks to study biochemistry, biology, and government at the prestigious school located in Washington D.C. with an interest in pursuing a pre-medical pathway.

Georgetown has a Top 50 medical program and is so selective in admitting students into the university that it typically receives more than 14,000 applications for an incoming class of around 203 students, resulting in an acceptance rate of under two percent!

So why commit to the Hoyas?

“I’m really excited to be part of what (Head) Coach Karla (Ross) and (Assistant) Coach Amelia (Lech) are building at Georgetown!” she told Line Drive Media this week. “I love the energy they bring to the team and their high expectations for the program!”

“The support Georgetown provides its student-athletes is incredible, from strength and sports performance to nutrition, academic support, and campus ministry. Everyone I met was so positive and encouraging, and you could tell they genuinely care about the athletes both on and off the field.”

Molly also loves the campus and its proximity to one of the biggest cities in the country.

“I love Georgetown’s beautiful, walkable campus and the surrounding neighborhood. It has that close-knit college feel while being right next to Washington, D.C., with so many opportunities to explore.”

“The chance to play Division I softball while pursuing my academic goals at a prestigious university was a huge part of what drew me to Georgetown!”

She adds that she had that gut feeling that the Big East school is where she should be for her future academic and athletic endeavors… plus another advantage that few softball players have!

“The coaches, players, and their families have been so welcoming, and everything I experienced during my visit made Georgetown feel like the right place for me,” she continues.

“And, as an added bonus, my travel ball pitcher, Madison Bogart (a senior from Scotch Plains, New Jersey), is committed to Georgetown too! We’ve already developed a great connection as a battery, and I’m excited to bring that to Georgetown. I can’t wait for the next four years! Hoya Saxa!”
