We did it!

Since starting our Master Commit Spreadsheet last September, we updated it regularly—at least once a week, sometimes more—with what would mostly be the 2027 verbals as the players in that grad class could be openly recruiting starting Sept. 1 of 2025.

Now, we close the book on the last year of softball recruiting and open the next chapter.

This will be our last week with the 2025-’26 edition of that spreadsheet which totaled close to 4,000 happy campers who know where they will be playing at the next level!

Next week, we’ll start the next edition of the Verbal List  including updating the 2028’s who commit!

However, we will still continue to include and publicize ‘27’s and even earlier with some softball players who at community colleges or in DII’s, III’s or NAIA programs making moves.

So be sure to join us starting next Sunday—September 5, 2026—when we’ll have the newest softball verbals in the land… and we’ll have more than a DOZEN 2028’s to get us started!

Today’s spotlight commit is on Jasmine Veal, a 2027 outfielder and middle infielder who attends Wiseburn Da Vinci High in El Segundo, Calif., and is a member of the USA Athletics club program.

Jasmine is also a standout student-athlete with a 4.2 GPA who wants to study Business in college and that will take place at…

… the University of Northern Colorado!

Jasmine’s mother, Yvette Veal, was kind enough to reach out and share how the recruiting process went for Jasmine to become a future Bear in the Big Sky Conference… here’s what she wrote us:

The recruiting process with the University of Northern Colorado was a great experience. 

They first discovered Jasmine through SportsRecruits and through their long-standing relationship with her travel ball coaches, Mike and Rose Rogers of USA Athletics 18U Gold.

They then met her in person at The Line Training Colorado 4th of July Camp this past summer. After that, they attended several of her games during the IDT tournament in Boulder.

What really stood out was how genuine and intentional they were throughout the process.

After watching just a few games, they invited Jasmine for a campus visit while we were still in Colorado and extended an offer that same week.

Their interest didn’t stop there—they also came to watch her compete at PGF a few weeks later, which reinforced how committed they were to recruiting her.

For Jasmine, the biggest factor was the coaching staff and team (which she had the opportunity to have phone calls with). She felt an immediate connection with them, their values, culture, and vision for the program closely aligned with what she was looking for both athletically and academically.

She also fell in love with the campus.

Coming from Los Angeles, she appreciated the beautiful setting and the change of pace from city life.

She’s incredibly excited for the opportunity to be part of the UNC softball family and can’t wait to begin this next chapter.

Kailelei Fuimaono is a softball player from Independence, Missouri, who plays as a second baseman and shortstop for Fort Osage High School.

The 2027 middle infielder who plays for Diamond Club National – Craig wrote and told us what led her to select the Metropolitan Community College – Kansas City (MCCKC) to play softball at the level…

I chose to go to MCC because I have always wanted to start small and work my way up after two years.

I feel like Metropolitan will be a perfect fit for me!

After talking to Coach (Autumn) Hughes and a couple of girls, it felt like home. I knew that starting at a community college would allow me to see how I could handle college courses and softball without feeling overwhelmed by so many transitions. 

I am very honored to have this opportunity to continue my passion for softball while furthering my education.
