Since starting our 2026-2027 edition of the Master Commit Spreadsheet on Sept. 1, we have 1,167 commits in the roughly six weeks since then.

Of those, 543 are for the current junior class (2028’s) and we have about that many seniors (2027’s).

These seniors included since Sept. 1 are in addition to the 2027’s who committed previously—would you believe the nearly 2,000 listed in LAST year’s Master Commit Spreadsheet?

Important NOTE about 2027’s: We are still getting a heavy number of 2027 commits coming in so if you’re one of those, feel free to send your info in to us to get added into our system.

This Week’s Recruiting “Winner”

You know who’s have a great recruiting run?

It might surprise you until you know the details behind the impressive surge in picking up standout prospects… it’s Utah State.

First the program located in Logan, Utah—a beautiful locale if you’ve never been there—is getting ready to join the Pac 12 so a step up in playing D1 softball.

But the other major factor is the hiring of Kristen Zaleski in June of this year.

Zaleski was the associate head coach for the Texas Longhorns and helped Mike White’s team win back-to-back national championships and has brought in a strong staff that includes Robyn Leighton, Jim Bray and Apdiel Vazquez as assistant coaches.

This week, Utah State picked up commitments from two of the Top 10 players in the Line Drive Media 2028 HOT 100 rankings in Courtney Bandy, a pitcher with Top Gun National who’s rated No. 9 overall and MJ Fikes, a catcher with Suncats 0 Jimenez ranked at No. 10.

Talk about a strong battery to build a program around!

Bob Turner, Director of Nationals Programs for Top Gun Fastpitch, says this about the org’s standout hurler.

“Courtney is a talented 5-foot-10 right-handed pitcher for Top Gun 16 National JS out of Belton, Missouri.”

“She attacks hitter with velo between 66-to-68 mph with 8-to-10 inches of drop and a quality curve ball and change-up to go with it.”

“We are excited for her to work with Coach Zaleski and her Aggie staff!”

That gives Utah State three quality 2028’s—the other being Rylie Bumgarner, an infielder with Lady Magic Munoz – Asia who we had ranked No. 23 overall and who committed in late September.

Think of it—three Top 25 players scored by the Aggies coaching staff in the last three week… an impressive run no matter how you slice it!

If you know of a commit AT ANY LEVEL, email Brentt.Eads@LineDriveMedia.com to get the verbal added to our Master Commit Spreadsheet

NOTE: We publish the updated lists weekly–typically on Sundays & mid-week in the fall…
