ACAPULCO, Mexico — The U-15 Women’s National Team (WNT) proved dominant on Day 2 of the 2025 Pan American Championship, outscoring their opponents 32-0 with a pair of run-rule victories over Argentina (22-0 – 3 innings) and Guatemala (10-0 – 4 innings).
Today’s Game 3 win over Guatemala marks Team USA’s third-straight shutout win of the tournament.
The U.S. offense came out firing in the two wins with a combined 21 hits with Amiyah Currie tabbing three hits on the day, while seven Eagles followed close behind with two.
Khloe Williams held a perfect multi-hit day at the plate, going 2-for-2 on the day. The U.S. offense posted four home runs throughout Day 2 with Raegan Brandt, Currie and Liana Saenz tabbing one apiece in the first matchup, while Skyla Saito recorded a solo shot against Guatemala.
Leona Eichholz and Malloree Harr* took care of business in the circle against Argentina, fanning a combined eight batters through three innings, while not allowing any hits.
Keeping the momentum, Maci Barnes got the start against Guatemala, tossing seven Ks through three innings before Ansley Johnson took over in the fourth to seal the win.
The pitching staff combined for 16 strikeouts on the day, while not allowing a single hit through seven innings – marking the staff’s third-straight no-hitter of the tournament.
Team USA returns to action tomorrow (Monday, March 24, 2025) at 12 p.m. MT / 1 p.m. Central Time against Venezuela to close out opening round. The Super Round is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, March 26.
