Washington struck first in the second inning when Raelee Adkins hit a two-run homer, but Lone Grove quickly tied it in the bottom half of the inning with a Jorden Rigney double.

The game swung heavily in Lone Grove’s favor in the third inning, as they scored eight runs, highlighted by Kadence Lampkin’s two-run homer to center.

Lone Grove’s Braylee Spence dominated on the mound, striking out 12 batters and giving up only two hits over five innings while the offense racked up 11 hits, with Jocelyn Morton going 3-for-3 and Rigney and Hunter Gardner each driving in three runs.

KJ Tudor led the defense with 12 chances, as Lone Grove played error-free baseball.

In Class 5A, Piedmont and Pryor advanced with strong offensive play, pushing past their semifinal opponents…

Weatherford won the 4A title behind pitcher Marley Teasley, who pitched a 5-0 shutout over Purcell.
