High School State Finals: Oklahoma Crowns Three Fast-Pitch Small School Champs (Oct. 13, 2024)

The following 2024 OSSAA Oklahoma High School Fast-Pitch (Small School) State Championship wrap-ups are courtesy of USASoftball.com as teams from across the state delivered exciting performances to claim their place in Oklahoma softball history on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024.

Over the weekend fans witnessed dominant pitching, clutch hitting, and fierce competition – culminating in three new state champions being crowned in Classes A, 2A, and B.

 The excitement continues next week as the OSSAA Fast-pitch Softball (Big School) State Championships are set to begin on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Class A Championship: Caddo Defeats Tushka 10-1

Class A Championships: Caddo 10, Tushka 1.

Caddo stormed to a 10-1 victory over Tushka, powered by a game-changing home run from Jaycie Nichols in the bottom of the first inning – Nichols went 3-for-4 at the plate – with four RBIs.

Rylan Peevyhouse was in command on the mound, pitching a complete game and allowing just four hits and one unearned run – striking out five with no walks. The win capped off a dominant championship run for Caddo, securing their place at the top of Class A.

Class 2A Championship: Dale Triumphs Over Pocola 1-0

Class 2A Championship: Dale 1, Pocola 0.

In a defensive showdown, Dale outlasted Pocola (1-0) to claim the Class 2A Championship. 

Kaylyn Solis and Kinley Patten each collected one hit for Dale. Kinsley Hill was lights out in the circle – striking out eight and scattering four hits across seven innings to keep Pocola off the board.

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the seventh inning when an error allowed the decisive run to cross the plate – making Dale High School the 2A State Champions.

Class B Championship: Stuart Shuts Out Leedey 6-0

Stuart topped Leedey 6-0 to win the Oklahoma Class B state championship.

Keelie Treat dominated in the circle, leading Stuart to a 6-0 win over Leedey – striking out 10 batters and allowing just five hits to capture the Class B Championship.

Stuart’s offense was led by Reagan Wade who smashed a three-run homer in the first inning to put her team in control early.

Treat added two hits at the plate and contributed to a well-rounded team performance that sealed the State Championship for Stuart.
