Mori Henderson, the outstand outfielder with Athletics Gold Tamborra – 18U Gold ranked No. 2 in the recently published Line Drive Media HOT 100, became the third member of her club team and seventh overall to commit to the Clemson Tigers when she committed late last night.

She’s also the third commit to Clemson ranked in the Top 10 of the Line Drive Media HOT 100.

“Mori Henderson is,” begins Athletics Gold head coach Stacy Tamborra: “the definition of a 5-tool player hitting for power and average from the left side of the plate. Hitting in the 3-spot for us, Mori is one of those kids you just know is going to come through when the game is on the line. When you combine her discipline in pitch selection with elite bat-to-ball skills, she is very tough on opposing teams.” Defensively Mori’s athleticism would allow her to play anywhere but her primary position is centerfield where the junior from Calhoun (Ga.) sees the ball very well off the bat and uses her speed and very strong and accurate arm to make her one of the best at that position in the nation. Coach Tamborra adds: “Mori is also the team’s unquestioned leader on and off the field, doing all the things that make her the kind of player every coach wants on his or her team.” The 2028 grad is also a standout basketball which is how she tore her ACL in December, but she has worked extremely hard in rehab to make it back on to the field. She should be back potentially this month and looks to return to the form that saw her hit .500 last fall. Her reputation is so strong that even being injured she was selected for the PGF Futures All-American Game.
