With he victory, Impact Gold-Jackson earned a berth into next summer’s AFCS and a berth in the Alliance Super Cup finals on July 1 in Colorado.

Uncommitted 2026 MIF/3B Ali Rios hit the game-tying home run and Sam Houston-committed 2025 C/OF Sophia Lindstrom’s two-run bomb gave Impact Gold the lead in the championship game. Uncommitted 2025 RHP Caylee Gaytan had a strong start with only 1 earned run, while Oklahoma-committed 2026 P/1B EK Smith pitched 1.2 hitless innings of relief to secure the win.

“This was a VERY competitive tournament from start to finish,” Impact Gold coach KC Jackson said. “It means a lot to my girls that we’ve qualified to compete in the Alliance Super Cup in Colorado in all four years of its existence (the only Texas team to do so). Also, we had IG-Jazz 16U and IG-Jazz 14U to earn berths as well. I’m proud to be able to represent Texas Softball on a national again!”

Texas A&M-committed 2026 OF Reagan Rohrlich (.857 AVG, 2.032 OPS, 1 triple, 2 SBs), uncommitted 2026 OF Adrienne Thompson (.625 AVG, 1.625 OPS, 1 HR) and Stanford-committed 2025 SS/IF Addyson Sheppard (.625 AVG, 2.075 OPS, 2 HRs, 4 RBIs) were Impact Gold’s offensive leaders for the tournament.

16U: TEXAS GLORY 5, IMPACT GOLD-JAZZ 0

16U Texas Glory is the reigning 16U Alliance co-national champion, nut they have a pretty new group this season. Texas Glory continued with the same results, picking up a 5-0 victory over Impact Gold-Jazz in the 16U finals of the Alliance Super Cup South Qualifier on Sunday at Heritage Park.

Texas Glory earned berths in the AFCS and the Alliance Super Cup finals with the victory.

“It was a great team weekend,” Texas Glory coach Cedric Coleman said. “The new squad is coming together. We are firing on all cylinders. Pitching has been on point, hitting their spots and changing speeds well. Defense has been stellar and we are getting better at running the offense; getting players on, getting them over and getting them in. I’m loving the energy. We should win the dugout battle every game! Still a long way to go, but our players and parents understand it’s a marathon not a sprint. An excellent result for our first competitive tourney of the fall.”

2027 3B/SS/1B/OF Domiana English led the squad with three bombs, slugging 1.714 with an OPS of 2.270.

Late Saturday night, 2028 MIF Vivian McKernan mashed a 3-run bomb to left to give her team a 6-5 lead. English followed with a solo bomb for an insurance run. 2027 RHP/UT Kammy Bloom closed the game out with no drama in the bottom half of the inning.

2027 RHP Abby Atkinson collected two of the four wins, allowing just one run. She fanned 11. Bloom struck out 12 in her six innings of work. 2027 RHP Eloisa Maes got one of the wins, allowing no runs. The staff did a great job of complimenting each other throughout the event.

“Can’t say enough about well Cedric Coleman and staff are handling this young group that is mix of Mariah Haygood’s 2024 summer 14U squad and some new talent,” Texas Glory program director Kevin Shelton said. “The growth they have made since late August is tremendous and a testament to Cedric and his staff (Pat Grant, Eric Peterson and Victor Guiterrez) leadership. It is yet another talented group that are getting great training and has bought into the program’s approach. We are very excited about their futures.”

Impact Gold-Jazz came back and edged Impact Gold-Vaughn/Jazz in the consolation final to earn berths into AFCS and the Alliance Super Cup finals.

Impact Gold-Vaughn/Jazz and Texas Blaze United-Robertson also reacived AFCS berths.
