It looks we have the No. 1-ranked prep team finalized in the GameChanger/NFCA Summer-Fall High School Top 25 Coaches Poll.

A third-straight state title has helped cement Oklahoma’s Lone Grove High’s standing as the No. 1 team in the for another week, the Association announced last week.

The (41-0) Longhorns won three games during last week’s playoff action including defeating No. 2 Blanchard, 4-1, in Monday’s Oklahoma Class 4A championship. Lone Grove rolled past McLoud, 16-0 in Friday’s quarterfinals, and then blitzed Broken Bow, 13-3 in Saturday’s semifinal.

This was Lone Grove’s seventh consecutive appearance in the title game, and fifth title over that span.

Five states — Colorado, Georgia, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Missouri — play a fall fastpitch schedule, while Iowa recently completed its summer season.

The Georgia playoffs are coming up next weekend and Line Drive Media will have results from our onsite correspondent Steve Hickey.
