We’re becoming a broken record, but it’s true… every update we do when it comes to our Master Verbal Spreadsheet seems to have elite players committing left and right.

Since Wednesday’s update, over the last three days, we’ve had 13 (THIRTEEN!!!) players that were in the Top 25 of our Line Drive Media 2028 HOT 100 published earlier this month finalize their college choices this week.

They’re going to D1 programs such as UCLA, Auburn, Oklahoma State, BYU, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, Kansas and Michigan… and that last one will be an interesting one to watch in the future.

That’s because Aubrey Kresbaugh, the very talented infielder with Turnin2 16U – Pezz ranked No. 10 in the 2028 HOT 100, switched her verbal commit from Michigan State to Michigan.

That should raise the stakes in what is already a fun (read: competitive) rivalry in the Big Ten!

Aubrey led her high school to a Michigan D1 state title this year… here’s what our bio in the HOT 100 said about her:

T-10—Aubrey Kresbaugh, IF, Turnin2 16U – Pezz
Aubrey is a complete middle-infield general who anchors the defense at shortstop (196.2 innings with130 chances) while serving as an offensive catalyst. Head Coach Ron Pezzoni says that that one of Aubrey’s strengths is her “extra-base pop to all gap paired with elite pitch selection and consistency (50.0 percent QAB).” Aubrey is following in the footsteps of her older sister, Makenna, a 2027 outfielder and pitcher from Walled Lake Northern (Mich.), who is a recent commit to Saginaw Valley State. Aubrey had a big summer herself, batting .390 with a .446 on-base percentage and a 1.096 OPS. Also impressive is that the 2028 grad was a member of the 2026 Michigan Div. 1 State Champions and earned 1^st Team All-state honors.

Kudos to Texas Tech head coach Gerry Glacsco and his Texas Tech coaching staff as they picked up No. 3 ranked Makenzie Thomas, a shortstop/catcher, and No. 16 ranked Khloe Williams, an infielder, both of whom are with the Impact Gold 18U – Jackson team.

Nice that the current club teammates will be college teammates in a few years and add to what is already a strong recruiting class for the Red Raiders.

Here’s what we said about Makenzie in her HOT 100 bio:

T-3—Makenzie Thomas, SS, Impact Gold 18U – Jackson
Makenzie is a dangerous hitting, smooth fielding shortstop for the Impact Gold team and she was a big reason why KC Jackson’s team took 5^th plate at the competitive 16U Tier 1 Alliance Nationals. For the summer, Makenzie hit .427 with a .569 on-base percentage, a 1.590 OPS and a 1.021 slugging percentage thanks to her hitting 13 home runs and 37 RBIs. Her dominating 2026 club season and the stats above led Makenzie to be named to the Line Drive 2026 All-Summer Team. As a sophomore at Clear Springs (Texas) High, she had a strong season that led to her being named as the District 24-6A Offensive Player of the Year after she batted .484 with a .578 on-base percentage a 1.677 OPS, 15 home runs and 49 RBIs. Now, halfway through her high school softball career, Makenzie has 30 home runs and has a .421 batting average. The Texas junior has also been in the USA Softball program and was part of the USA U-15 Women’s National Team.

And then this week we had two standout high school juniors commit from the LK Black – Danz team from Hawaii, both of whom are also in the Top 25 of the 2028 HOT 100.

Malie (Moogie) Satete, the uber talented power-hitting catcher who is No. 3 in the ranking announced yesterday she’d be signing with Ole Miss and middle infielder Alia Anzai, ranked No. 23, let it be known she’s Pac-10-bound to play for San Diego State.

Moogie is a great story in that she lives in New Mexico and is a two-time Gatorade State Player of the Year.

Here’s her HOT 100 bio:

T-3—Malie (Moogie) Satete, C, LK Black Hawaii – Danz
Malie, who also goes by her nickname of “Moogie,” is a powerful two-way player from West Las Vegas High who repeated this year as the Gatorade New Mexico Player of the Year. Her club coach with LK Black, Josh Danz, says: “Moogie can hit with the best in the country.” Offensively, the junior is a threat to hit it out at any time and, defensively she is a lights-out pitcher and a “don’t test me” catcher. The 2028 grad led LK Black Hawaii to Top 12 finishes in elite tournaments and also help lead Team Polynesia to a sixth Tournament Championship. For the 2026 season, including high school, she hit .568 with 28 home runs and 88 RBIs. On the mound, she was just as dynamic, going 26-4 with a 1.51 ERA and, behind the plate, Moogie threw out 87 percent (that is not a typo!) of players who tried to steal on her. “Malie is a powerful player that is unlike we have ever had, unlike probably any top club has ever had.,” Coach Danz adds. “To have a really good pitcher who is only going to get stronger, who is also a Power 4 level elite catcher, and oh yeah, she also hits bombs— that’s not normal! We can’t wait to see where Malie ends up at the next level.”

So what is her tie-in with the Hawaii-based LK Black org?

“Her family was born there and is from Hawaii,” Head Coach Josh Danz said, “but moved to the mainland.”

“We have always had mainland kids that have Hawaii ties and a lot of these kids have family that play with us here in Hawaii.”

How does it work, then, that a player in the continental U.S. competes with a team from Hawaii?

“Our teams fly up earlier before tournaments and she meets us there for pre-tournament practices and workouts,” Coach Danz answers.

Alia is an example of a local player who lives in Hawaii and will be headed to the mainland to play for San Diego State in the Pac-10.

And it looks like there will be more coming up soon.

“We have five more girls on visits this week and next,” Coach Danz added.

What is the appeal to the LK Black organization and how is it having so much success being so far away from the mainland?

“A lot of it starts with our team Polynesia Triple Crown team,” Danz answers. “They come from all over to play together, then they fall in love with our vibe.

“I think the big part of our club’s success has always been the Hawaiian/Polynesian culture which is focused on family and faith. We have also built an amazing staff, the best you can find in Hawaii.”

And it’s very possible in the future there will be satellite teams in the West, as well.

“We have families in Cali and Utah that have already asked us to make LK Black teams there,” the head coach says.

While much of the focus is on the 2028’s, we’re still getting a heavy dose of 2027’s that are committing—in today’s update, for example, we have 38 new adds that are in the current high school senior class.

We’ll continue to honor these future college players, too, and our Recruit Spotlight today is on talented 2027 corner infielder Bella Costa who attends Gahanna Lincoln (Ohio) High and plays club ball with the Ohio Hawks National 18U – Joseforsky team.

She committed to the University of Dayton, which is a little over an hour to the west of her home in the Columbus area, last summer.

Bella has had a great high school career already as she prepares to play her final season next spring. She led her team in home runs with 14 last spring and in RBIs with 53.

The Class of 2027 infielder has been a two-time All-Conference selection and has led Gahanna Lincoln to three straight Ohio Capital Conference championships.

Bella tells us why she’s excited to play for the Flyers which compete in the Atlanta 10 Conference (Div. 1):

“My recruiting process with Dayton began last fall (2025) and, from the start, I knew Dayton was a place where I could grow both as a student and an athlete.”

“When I visited the campus in January, I instantly fell in love with everything the University of Dayton had to offer. The coaches and players were incredibly welcoming, and it truly felt like home.”

“Then, in early June, I received a call from (Head) Coach (Cara) Clark with an offer while I was at home. It was a dream come true and a moment I had been hoping and working for.”

We’re almost four weeks into the launch of the live recruiting period for the current high school juniors  and we now have over 340 commits in the Class of 2028 already which are listed in our Master Commit Spreadsheet below!

And we’re also including 2027’s and others like JC transfers so we have 650 total commits this month alone!
