Tomorrow—Monday, September 22, 2025—is the last few hours of summer 2025 with the fall season starting at 12:19 pm EST.

[Why that specific time? It’s the autumnal equinox when the center of the sun crosses the Earth’s equator signaling the start of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.]  

Still, with the official start of fall this week, most of the country’s fastpitch softball world is in the off-season… but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot going on.

Travel ball, especially, will be in full swing, and Line Drive Softball’s Brentt and Shannon Eads will be at several events including (in calendar order):

• The PGF Ultimate Challenge (Salinas, Calif.)—Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2025
• The Team NJ Clearwater Classic (Clearwater, Fla.)—Nov. 14-16, 2025
• The NFCA Convention (Las Vegas, Nev.)—Dec. 10-13, 2025

If you’re going to be at one or more of these events, be sure to come up and say “hi!” 

And if you’re going to be at other events where we might not be, let us know and we’ll try to provide event coverage just the same.
