Here are today’s sentiments from contributors nationwide…

What I’m most thankful for this year is my family and teammates. They can get me through some of the toughest times by just being by my side.

A Thanksgiving tradition my family and I love is playing the game “Left Center Right” after dinner. This game brings out the competitiveness in all of us and I have a super competitive family!
One thing I loved was when my Grandpa would sit beside me and always be in my ear telling me to roll a “right” so he could take all of my money.
My best memory of past Thanksgivings is just spending the day with my family, but this year will be a little different since my Grandpa passed away.
I’ll always miss his jokes as well as him always asking me about what’s happening with my softball life. I wish he was here with me as I start this recruiting journey, but he’s not so now all I can do is make him proud up in heaven.

First, I am grateful for my family supporting me through everything I do. Without them, I would not be the player I am today.
I am also thankful for my faith, guiding me through life, and taking me down the right paths.
I am thankful for all the amazing coaches I have in my life, who push me to be better every time I step on the field.
Lastly, I am thankful for my close group of friends, who understand my busy schedule and love me for who I am.
I appreciate you!! Thank you for everything you do!

I am thankful for the people in my life who provide love, support, and connection. Whether it’s family, friends, or teammates, each relationship adds depth and meaning to my days. Their friendship reminds me that life is better when it’s shared with others.

I’m also grateful for the moments of peace and reflection that this time of year brings. The holiday season encourages slowing down, appreciating friends/family, and recognizing the progress I’ve made throughout the year. These moments help me recharge, refocus, and feel grounded amid the grind of everyday life.
Finally, I’m thankful for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped who I am today. Since I had recently had a season-ending injury, I find myself in uncharted territory not knowing what tomorrow brings.
I am nervous and scared, but I know that if I find the right support system and trust in the process, I will come back better than before.
As this school semester winds down and with the Holidays upon us, I find myself especially appreciative of what I’ve learned and hopeful for what’s ahead.

Hey this is Janie!
The things I am most thankful for:
*****
A BIG part of my life that I have always been so thankful for is my faith.

My parents have done the best job raising me to be strong and confident in my faith in Christ and to know who I am in HIM and not my accomplishments. I would not have been able to achieve and push through all the things I have without the talent and drive that Christ has given me.
Second, I am beyond thankful for my friends and coaches that have surrounded me and pushed me to be the best I can be, never allowing me to doubt who I am.
The Creighton coaches have seen the same thing in me, and I am grateful for them taking a chance on me and believing in me to play at the next level.
Lastly, this might sound strange, but I am thankful for the lessons that my knee injuries and the diagnosis of a life-changing disease at the age of 11 have brought me.
After three knee procedures and five years of being a Type 1 Diabetic, I am so thankful for the perspective these events have given me.
God gives his hardest battles to his strongest warriors and equips them to fight. I know that in every battle there are always things He is working through me, and they will always be for His greater good!
Yes, it has been an up and down roller coaster, but it allows me to appreciate and enjoy every little moment even more and has taught me how to be grateful for every situation I am in, including the painful ones.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and, to start, I’m thankful for a lot of things…
I’m thankful for God giving me the ability to play the sport I love competitively, and at the next level.

I’m extremely grateful for all of the memories, friendships, and laughs softball has given me. Not only has softball given me wonderful teammates, but it has given me lifelong best friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
I’m thankful for my friends, family and school (Millard North) for all they have done for me. They always support me and make me feel loved!
I’m thankful I have the opportunity to play softball at Creighton and be a part of something special.
I’m thankful I have a house, with a roof over my head and food to eat. This time of year makes me realize how lucky I truly am and helps me not be selfish.
I’m thankful for coaches past and present, and my trainers for all of their help in my life.
But most importantly I’m thankful for my dad. I wouldn’t be half the person and player I am today without him. He is truly my best friend.
