We're Looking for Bloggers! Players, Coaches, Teachers, Administrators, Event Directors... Share Your Voices On Our Site

Hello all… this is Brentt Eads of Line Drive Softball…

I’m happy to report that our new site is doing great, and our numbers are climbing every day! As we continue to grow, we’ll be launching several fun initiatives in the near feature.

One former blogger who had a “great voice” was Amanda Lorenz before she would become an All-American at Florida and play for Team USA.

One I’d like to launch now involves inviting YOU, our friends in the softball community, to be part of our website!

Simply, we want to have players, coaches, family, softball officials and administrators—basically, anyone who has an useful voice in the sport—to contribute to our ever-expanding community of readers.

What I’ve most enjoyed in my 20 years in the fastpitch space has been hearing the experiences and insights from those who are involved on the field or behind the scenes.

I’ve been fortunate to have worked with excellent softball player bloggers—from Amanda Lorenz years ago to Sydney Supple more recently—along with softball educators and experts who’ve shared their own personal insights and experiences.

Here is what Line Drive Softball is looking for currently in building a team of contributing bloggers:

  • WHO are we looking for?
    • Basically, anyone who has an interesting or useful perspective to share, be it players, coaches, family, fastpitch trainers and instructors, administrators, event directors, etc.
  • WHAT are we looking for?
    • Insightful, interesting and/or helpful content that will be beneficial to our readers.
  • What format?
    • It can be a written blog, a video segment, or whatever type of submission you’re most comfortable doing.
  • How often?
    • Depends on what timing works for you… can be weekly, monthly or periodically as your schedule allows.
  • What does the blogger get out of it?
    • First off… publishing credit. This looks GREAT on a college application, a resume or wherever having a “byline” will help you.
    • For students, it may get you academic extra credit (this has happened multiple times!)
    • Those who are extra good at submitting content to us may get hired to do paid work for Line Drive in the future.
  • Will submissions be looked at, edited and “cleaned up?”
    • Absolutely! We want you (and us) to look as good and professional as possible as well as provide something of value to our readers.
    • Our staff will go over all contributions and offer helpful advice.
  • If I’m interested in doing this, who do I reach out to?
    • Send an email to Brentt Eads (brentt.eads@linedrivemedia.com) to be considered or to learn more.
    • Be sure to share your background and idea(s) of how your contributions will be of interest and help others!
