Line Drive Media’s Grace White, who oversees the Social Media department, recently went to Gulf Shores, Ala. to help coach her younger sister’s high school team at the Gulf Coast Classic high school tourney.

On Monday, she was replying to various posts on X that Line Drive had been tagged in and Grace picks up the story from here.
“I came across one from Campbell Hicks and realized that my sister’s team would be playing Hicks and her team,” she says. “I thought it would be a great idea to try to catch up with her while there.”
Campbell is one of the top pitchers in the 2028 class and plays for Daphne High School in Alabama. She competes in travel ball for EC Bullets – Lyons and has a big summer coming up including playing for Team USA at the TCS International Challenge.
In the Gulf Coast Classic, Campbell pitched in three games with two starts and one relief appearance.
She had 14 innings of work, striking out 16 batters and giving up just three walks and four earned runs. She also threw strikes 71 percent of the time, and 16 percent of that was swings and misses.
Before the Gulf Coast Classic, Campbell and her team got a big 6-3 win against Hewitt-Trussville in the Hewitt-Trussville tournament as she pitched five innings and struck out five hitters while walking one and allowing two earned runs.
Grace adds:
“I really enjoyed getting to talk with Campbell and I’m excited to see where her softball journey continues to take her!”
Here’s that video interview recorded on March 17, 2026…
