The talent and passion the players are demonstrating at THE Spring Games, currently taking place in Central Florida through the end of the month, is well beyond impressive.

Few, if any, however, can appreciate it as much as Camm Buzzell, an infielder in her last year playing at Lynn University but the fact she’s back in uniform at ALL is a Hollywood movie in the making.

In the Fall of her freshman year at Pensacola (Fla.) State College, Camm was having brutal migraines which she battled through until one day when her roommate found her passed out on the floor in the students’ bathroom.

Taken to the emergency room, Camm ended up staying for a week in the hospital and was ultimately diagnosed with having suffered a stroke… which doesn’t happen to teens, does it?

As the talented athlete and her family found out, strokes DO hit young people, older folks, athletes in playing shape and your typical, average person.

Here is Camm’s amazing story as she told it to Long Drive’s Brentt Eads while she and Lynn University competed this week at THE Spring Games…
