A week ago today, the Canadian Elite Softball Camp wrapped up and one of the key aspects all 100 of the attendees say they loved about the event was hearing from current college players who worked with them in position drills.

Overseeing the infielder instruction was Emma Knight, the sophomore first baseman at Boston College who had a great start to her college career this year.

As a freshman this past spring, Emma started all 51 games for the ACC school and had a tremendous ’26 campaign as she batted .312 with a team-leading 12 home runs and 38 RBIs, which placed her as 6^th best in program history in the homer category and Top 10 for a season in school history in the runs batted in.

… and all that as a freshman!

Defensively, she was stellar too as she made just 12 errors in 273 chances for a .978 fielding percentage.

Before her college career began, Emma was a three-time All-State honoree at Rains (Emory, Texas) High and, not surprisingly, holds her school record for career home runs.

In October of 2024, Line Drive had the standout infielder ranked in the Top 30 of the 2025 Line Drive Hot 100… this is what was written about her:

Emma made a big splash a year ago as she helped her Texas Bombers 16U finish 3^rd at Alliance Nationals where she was named to the Tier 1 Alliance National Championship All-Tournament Team. A prolific home run hitter, she had two dozen colleges reach out to her in the Fall of 2023 before she committed to Boston College. She’s currently a senior at Rains (Rains County Texas) High and late in the summer had the opportunity to compete for the USA Southwest All-American team against Team USA and national teams from countries such as Australia and Ireland.

All who saw Emma working with the infielders at the Canadian Elite Softball Camp were impressed with what she showed and taught them as well as how approachable and helpful she was.
