The 2030 Line Drive Hot 100 Player Rankings… Moving Up With #’s 70-61! (Jan. 30, 2025)

We continue our extensive look at the 2030 Line Drive HOT 100 player rankings by featuring those talented athletes rated #’s 70-61.

This class will also be updated several more times so know that there will be a lot of change over the next several years!

Each weekday for the next two weeks we are honoring players via our countdown with 10 spots each day in the following schedule:

T-70—Brooklyn Halper, IF/C, GA Mojo 2011 – Ogletree
Mojo Head Coach Racheal Ogletree describes Brooklyn as “one of the most dedicated and hard-working players on the field. She makes her presence known by her natural leadership and ability to pick up her teammates, on and off the diamond.” A true utility, Brooklyn is a wall at third base and behind the plate with great range and a powerful arm in both locations. At the plate, she has a solid and aggressive swing with an eye for the ball as shown by her having single digit strikeouts in the Fall. Coach Ogletree continues: “Brooklyn drives for power and can strategically place the ball in high pressure situations as shown by her .425 on-base percentage. She is quick, agile and versatile and is an asset to any team she’s on!”

T-70—Victoria Lopez, IF, Power Surge – Muren
Victoria is a strong and skilled defensive player with what Head Coach Nate Muren calls “an outstanding glove, superior range and a great bat.” The coach of the San Diego-based team adds: “She is also an amazing base runner and has tremendous speed.” Last year Victoria batted .449 and stole 25 bases leading Muren to say: “Any ball hit to the right side of the infield is not getting by second base when Victoria is there and, offensively, when she gets on first base, she will be at third in two pitches due to her speed.” A student at Hawking Steam Charter School, the student-athlete has a 3.6 GPA and is new to travel softball, meaning her ceiling is very high.

69—Klair Mercer, C/OF, Athletics Gold – Tamborra/Spencer
Klair has strong offensive and defensive skills which include a .435 batting average and a 2.01 pop time. With a .916 OPS, she has both power and on-base skills and, behind the plate, she has impressively quick reflexes and strong arm. Klair compiled a .950 fielding percentage and had 36 putouts and her 55-mph overhand velocity shows good arm strength. Head Coach Hannah Spencer says: “What sets her apart further is her versatility, as Klair plays both catcher and outfielder at a high level, adding flexibility and depth to her team.” Among her honors, Klair has been a USSSA National Championship Offensive MVP and, outside of softball, the 2030 grad is a Superior Honor Roll student with 4.0 GPA and she has been a scholar athlete two consecutive years.

T-68—Braylee Morris, MIF/C, Indiana Magic Gold – Coyle
Braylee hails from Liberty, Ind. where she plays for Head Coach Eric Coyle and had strong stats across the board last year with a .441 batting average, 17 steals, just three strikeouts with 76 putouts in the infield. Coach Coyle states: “Her passion, dedication and joy really stand out and she holds down any middle infield position while also being an “A” level catcher. Braylee, who also plays basketball, has a 3.8 GPA in the classroom.

T-68—Channing West, IF, Mojo 2030- West
Channing started for her high school varsity team in Tennessee as a sixth grader and was awarded the Golden Glove Award for not making an error the entire season. Last year, she batted .354 with a .909 fielding percentage. Head Coach Courtney West explains: “She is consistent and knows what to do with the ball. For our Mojo team, she is a middle infielder and makes the plays while working well with the other infielders.” Channing also plays hoops for her Liberty Creek Middle Team and has a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.

67—Charleigh Hill, C, LLG Uprising NC
Charleigh is a dynamic player with game-changing skills and her versatility gives her team the flexibility to impact the game in different positions. Last Summer, she had a .451 on-base percentage and stole 50 bases while swiping a team-best 30 bases in the Fall. John Corn, the President of the Lady Lightning Gold organization explains: “Charleigh brings an intense vibe to her LLG Uprising team and helped lead them to a 21-3-1 Fall record and a berth to Alliance Nationals.” From Kernersville, N.C., she is excellent in the classroom as well with a 4.0 GPA.

66—Ashlyn Green, OF, Power Surge – Walling/Sterling 2030
Ashlyn is a top-notch outfielder for her Power Surge team led by Head Coach Jeremy Walling and Assistant Coach Jacqueline Melgar, who says: “As an integral part of our lineup, Ashlyn leads our team in batting average for the last two years. She has started this season out batting a .600 through our first few weekends of games.” From Pine Valley, Calif., Ashlyn carries a 3.8 GPA and actively participates in her school’s intramural sports team including girls cross country, where she just finished her first season.

T-65—Savanna Musser, C, Ohio Wolfpack 2012 – Vickers/Musser
Savanna is following in the footsteps of her older sister, Natalie Musser, who is a top prospect in the 2027 class. The 2023 grad from Dennison, Ohio, plays for Head Coaches Aaron Vickers and her mother, Kara Musser. Over her career, Savanna has played in 346 games and maintained a career batting average of .480 with a .530 on-base percentage and has averaged 1.09 RBIs per game, giving her a total of 377 since starting travel ball. On the defensive side, the standout from the Buckeye State had played 836 innings with a 21 percent caught stealing mark and has compiled a .940 fielding average. Coach Musser adds: “In every aspect of the game, Savanna’s skill, composure, and team-first attitude set her apart. Regardless of the situation, she is focused, determined, and ready to do her best.” Strong in the classroom as well, Savanna is pulling a 3.95 GPA.

T-65—Kardin Putman, P/OF, Mojo 2030- West
Kardin is a lefty pitcher and outfielder who, when in the circle, mixes her fastball that stays around 57/58 mph along with a very good change-up that keeps batters on their toes. When not pitching, she is also a speedy outfielder and base runner who bats from the left side and can lay down a bunt or hit for power consistently. Last year she helped lead her team to the Tennessee middle school state championship trophy and for the Mojo in the Fall pitched 26 innings with 35 strikeouts while batting .386 with a .438 on-base percentage. Kardin maintains a 4.0 GPA and also plays volleyball for her school

T-64—Annabelle Brook, C, Atlanta Vipers 2012 – Trahan
Annabell is a promising backstop with a 1.96 second pop time and a .984 fielding percentage while batting .472. Head Coach Chad Trahan explains: “She is  an outstanding athlete with tremendous range. Behind the plate, Annabelle has an arm that makes a difference in a game. She has excellent fundamental footwork, is advanced in her technique to frame the ball and has quick transitions to match. Her speedy popup time reflects her ability to effectively challenge base runners. Annabelle adds a ton of depth offensively as well as a consistent contact hitter who read a defense and put down the perfect bunt or she can hit for power. Annabelle’s athleticism has awarded her much attention; during her fall school ball season, she was one of her Pike County (Zebulon, Ga.) High team’s youngest starters and assisted her team in winning its league championship. Academically, Annabelle has a 4.0 GPA and has made the Academic Honor Roll.

T-64—Kyndall Savage, OF, Mojo 2030 – West
Kyndall played up with the 2011 Mojo – Brown team last year competed “A” level ball against older girls and still produced a .359 batting average, .446 on-base percentage while scoring 62 runs in the Spring & Fall seasons while totaling 29 stolen bases. Head Coach Courtney West begins: “Kyndall is one of the fastest girls you will see in this age group. She is a very hard out at the plate and covers a lot of ground in the outfield.  Kyndall switched to the left side just one year ago and she has already done very well against top pitching. From Alamo, Tenn., the 2030 grad who attends Crockett County Middle School is a 4.0 student-athlete who also plays basketball for her school.

T-63—Grayce Clark, OF, Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier 2030 – Wilkerson
Grayce is from Mocksville, N.C. and for Head Coach Jeff Wilkerson’s team hit .376 last year with a .455 on-base percentage, a .500 slugging mark and had 51 RBIs, 15 multi-base hits and an impressive 42 steals. She’s been a two-time USSSA All-State honoree and Coach Wilkerson says: Grayce is a great ball player and is as coachable as they come. She is one of the hardest working athletes, lifting weights 2-3 times per week and practicing softball 4-5 times per week. Grayce has great speed which enables her to cover a lot of ground in the outfield to get to balls the average player can’t get too.” When not in a softball uniform, she can often be found cheerleading for her school.

T-63—Macy Poepping, C, Wisconsin Lightning 12U
Macy is a standout catcher and thjrd basemen with a strong arm who keeps runners at bay on the bases. Over the last two seasons, she has had multiple back-picks across every base, surprising baserunners in key moments of games. Offensively, Macy brings a powerful bat to the lineup and is amongst the top offensive leaders in several categories including on-base percentage (.450), slugging percentage (.481) and OPS (.931). She also led the Lightning in RBIs. From Trevor, Wisc., the backstop had a 19.23 caught stealing percentage and is strong in the classroom too with a 4.0 GPA.

62—Makalyn Williams, P/IF, Atlanta Vipers 2012 Trahan 12U
Makalyn is a right-handed pitcher who goes by “Mak” and is knowns as a fierce competitor. Head Coach Chad Trahan explains: “She is the type of player that no matter where she starts, Mak’s going to give 110 percent to her team. Her strong mentality has also contributed to much of her success, and she continues to prove that she can contribute to her team in various ways.” The 2030 grad, who attends Georgia Connection Academy where she has a 4.0 GPA, compiled a 2.38 ERA last year and also batted .419. Though her primary position is pitcher, she is also a strong infielder and locks down third base and shortstop when she’s not on the mound. Coach Trahan adds: “Mak also brings a big bat to our offensive lineup and is skilled at hitting for power. Since joining the Vipers last Summer, she has come up big in crunch time frequently with her pitching arm and strong bat. Her coach concludes: “Mak has had several clutch hits that have changed the outcome of our games.”

61—Rosie Wilson, OF, Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier 2030 – Wilkerson
Rose has been a PGF National Champion as well as a two-time USSSA All-State selection and has helped lead the way with a .434 batting average and a .500 on-base percentage. Rosie had 14 multi-base hits that helped drive in 45 runs and she also has the good speed to have stolen 38 bases for one of the top club organizations in the country. Head Coach Jeff Wilkerson comments: “She has excellent softball IQ and sees the field well; in the outfield, she utilizes her speed to cover a lot of ground and track balls. Rosie is a very hard worker and has a lot of drive to be successful.”
