The 2030 Line Drive Hot 100 Player Rankings… Moving Up With #’s 30-21 (Feb. 5, 2025)

We continue our extensive look at the 2030 Line Drive HOT 100 player rankings by featuring those talented athletes rated #’s 30-21.

This class will also be updated several more times so know that there will be a lot of change over the next several years!

Each weekday for two weeks we are honoring players via our countdown with 10 spots each day per the following schedule:

T-30—Norah Ashburn, C, Indiana Magic Gold 2011 Fritsche
Norah is one of two 7th graders on a 2011 team who was a fixture in the middle of the lineup for Head Coach AJ Fritsche’s team, driving in runs and getting on base at a high level. Her batting average in 2024 was .364 with a .480 on-base percentage and she also had 18 RBIs, 34 runs scored, 20 walks and eight steals. Coach Fritsche adds: “Norah locked down the hot corner for our team while also getting in plenty of time behind the plate.” The backstop helped the Magic finish second at the Top Gun Patriot Tournament in Peoria, Ill., capture third place at the Triple Crown Nationals in South Carolina and Top 5 at the Top Gun Invite in Kansas City. Norah also plays volleyball and trains with Kentucky commit Jasper Johnson in Lexington, Ky.

T-30—Reese McFadden, 1B, Atlanta Vipers 12U – Patterson
Reese is from Sharpsburg, Ga. and is recognized as an exceptional first baseman whose all-around game makes her a standout on both offense and defense. At the plate, she wields a powerful bat, hitting .400 with a .667 slugging percentage and can launch a home runs with any swing. Defensively, Reese brings a strong, steady glove and a commanding tall presence at first base. Head Coach Selena Collins-Patters says: “She anchors the infield and makes difficult plays look routine. Her ability to stretch and snare throws, coupled with her leadership on defense, ensures that she is always in control.” Reese was a 2024 USSSA All-American and registered the fastest swing speed at the 2024 USSSA All-American Games. Coach Collins-Patterson adds: “Reese’s combination of power at the plate and reliability on defense makes her an invaluable asset and a true standout on the field.”

T-30—Brylyn Parsons, IF, Athletics Gold Tamborra Spencer
Brylyn is an elite infielder known for her powerful bat—a .483 batting average with a .514 on-base percentage, a 1.081 on-base plus slugging (OPS) and a 62 mph exit velo.  Coach Hannah Spencer begins: “Defensively, as a middle infielder, Brylyn demonstrates reliability with a .909 fielding percentage and has successfully recorded 30 putouts. Her all-around athletic ability, consistent performance, and versatility make her make her a worthy addition to the Line Drive HOT 100.” Carrying a 3.8 GPA, Brylyn has an impressive off-field array of talents, too; from volunteering at a local nursing home, winning 1st place in the high school division for shotgun shooting, and playing basketball for her Lee County East Middle School in Leesburg, Ga. 

T-29—Elanyi Centeno, C/OF, PA Chaos 12U – Parker
Elanyi hails from Buena, N.J. and is a two-way threat who batted .552 last Fall with an on-base percentage of .604 and a fielding percentage of .974. Head Coach Jamie Parker comments: “She’s powerful at the plate, always puts the ball in play hard, and her speed on the bases makes her a very tough out.” When she’s not catching, Elanyi covers a lot of ground in centerfield. In the classroom, she sports a 4.0 GPA and, when not playing softball, she wrestles for her Buena Regional Middle School team.

T-29—Kendall Wooley, IF, Firecrackers GA 2011 – Wooley
Kendall is a 2012-born player who plays at a high level for her A level 2011 team. She is a switch-hitting gap-to-gap infielder skilled at mixing in precise bunting and impressive speed. Last year, Kendall  batted .394 with a .974 OPS and stole over 20 bases. On the defensive side, she had over 100 put -uts playing middle infield with a .918 fielding percentage. Kendall complements her softball game with quickness and explosiveness aided by her playing AAU basketball as well as for her Union Grove Middle School hoops team in McDonough, Ga.

T-28—Hailey Calkins, P, Wisconsin Lightning 12U – Sunden
Hailey is from Burlington, Wisc., and is a shut-down pitcher who had a 0.94 ERA last year with an .820 WHIP, 159 strikeouts in 89 innings and limited opposing batters to a measly .137 batting average against. Head Coach David Sunden says: “She is an extremely talented pitcher and has dominant velocity for her age to go with an exceptional rise ball and curveball. Hailey is a presence in the circle and is clutch in the key moments, with significant swing and miss abilities.” Offensively, Hailey brings a lot of power to the heart of the order and led her team in batting average with a .376 mark to go with a .400 on-base percentage. Impressively, the 4.0 GPA-carrying student-athlete has had over 500 strikeouts in the last one and a half years. Her older sister, 2026 grad Allison Calkins, was ranked the No. 23 pitcher and No. 60 overall by Line Drive Softball last year.

T-28—Ariana Morfin, IF, LLG Uprising
Ariana has an amazing presence at the plate and can hurt you with her bat and her speed as shown by her hitting .420 last year with a .554 on-base percentage while swiping 30 bases. LLG President John Corn comments: “Not only did Ariana lead her team in several offensive categories, she is also the player you want at the plate when the game is on the line.” Behind her team-best OBP and steal totals, Ariana helped her team qualify for the Alliance Nationals. She’s also stellar in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA. The 2030 grad is from Halifax, N.C. and attends Halifax County Middle School.

T-27—Mia Arellanez, OF, Corona Angels 12U – McCullough
Mia is a multi-weapon threat who can get on base (and often) via the bunt, slap, power slap or just hitting away. Coach Dominique Tyson, one of the leads in the prestigious Angels  program, says: “She’s a great lead-off batter and her speed at the top of the lineup gives us a huge advantage and she’s a great leader in the outfield, too.” The lefty uses her speed to track down balls in the outfield and she has the arm strength to give baserunners pause in trying to be too adventurous. Travel ball coaches praise her “relentless hustle, smart baserunning, and ability to create scoring opportunities.” 

T-27—Court Brewer, C, Alabama Sparks – Slade
Court benefits by catching two outstanding pitchers in Caylee Cowan and Maddi White and she, in turn, helps them out. Her coach, Slade Stewart, explains: “Court’s arm velo is strong and she swings the bat well, too. She’s the best framer I’ve seen of the 2029 and 2030 kids.” Court’s pop time has been measured at 1.99 seconds and her overhand velo has been clocked at 60 mph. Offensively, Court had a .336 batting average and .478 on-base percentage last year with a .628 on-base percentage in school play. One coach commented: “She is a catcher who brings the perfect blend of defensive reliability and offensive firepower. Court’s ability to perform in key moments makes her an irreplaceable asset on and off the field.” A multi-sport athlete, she also maintains a 3.75 GPA in the classroom.

T-26—Rayelee Johnson, P, Atlanta Vipers 12U – Patterson
Rayelee is a powerhouse in the circle and a cornerstone for her team, “commanding attention with her blazing speed as she’s consistently hitting 59-60 mph,” says Head Coach Selena Collins-Patterson. In the circle, the pitcher “combines raw power with precision,” according to the Vipers coach and adds, Raylee is a fierce competitor by nature, and she thrives under pressure, embracing big-game moments and always demanding the ball when the stakes are high.” Her pitching arsenal includes a powerful two-seam fastball and a sharp-breaking curveball which led to a 2.30 ERA last year with a 1.90 WHIP. Offensively, Raylee was impressive with a .393 batting average and academically has a 3.5 GPA.

T-26—Rayah Wallace, IF, PA Chaos 12U Parker
From Essington, Pa., Rayah is a standout shortstop with excellent range, a strong arm, and a quick release.” Head Coach Jamie Parker says: “She is the leader of our infield with her constant engagement and communication.” Rayah’s athleticism is obvious and complemented by her skills and tools learned by her also playing basketball and volleyball. The 2030 infielder’s stats were impressive last year as she batted .412 and had an on-base percentage of .511. She’s a standout in the classroom as well carrying a 4.0 GPA. 

T-25—Abigail (Abby) Bethea, MIF/UT, Athletics Gold – Tamborra/Olson
Abigail, who also goes by “Abby,” is the youngest player on her Athletics Gold team which also consists of 10 players in the Class of 2029. “She can play anywhere, but what makes her so special is that she is ‘elite’ anywhere you put her,” according to  Head Coach Janet Olson.  “Abby is our starting shortstop, but she can pitch, play the corners and the outfield at the highest level. She has raised the bar for our team and is a natural leader and a standout middle infielder.” Abby batted .316 in the Fall and has power, but with her speed she can also beat out most infield hits. Coach Olson continues: “She has an incredible IQ and an unbelievable passion to compete. Abby’s range is among the best I’ve seen in the 2011 age group, and she goes all out all the time.” Her older brother plays baseball and will be a freshman at the Univ. of Tennessee next year. Abby also has a grandfather who is in the NFL Hall of Fame.

T-25—Harper Reeves, IF, Atlanta Vipers 12U – Patterson
Regarded as one of the premier third basemen in the Southeast, Harper is a defensive powerhouse with exceptional glove work and unmatched fielding instincts. Head Coach Selena Collins-Patterson says, “Her lightning-fast reflexes and powerful arm make Harper a reliable force at the hot corner, capable of shutting down even the most challenging plays with poise and precision.” Offensively, the 2030 infielder put up strong numbers a year ago including a .462 batting average, a .562 on-base percentage and a slugging mark of .731. Harper has athleticism in the family as her father, Maxx Catapano, was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 2011 MLB draft after playing at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. Harper has a 3.6 GPA also.

T-24—Destiny Hutchens, IF, Athletics Gold – Tamborra/Spencer
Destiny gets it done with the glove and the bat as shown by her strong numbers from 2024 including a.510 batting average, a .545 on-base percentage, a 1.275 OPS with 15 doubles, four triples and seven home runs. She also drove in 27 runs. On defense, the infielder recorded a .943 fielding percentage and had 46 putouts. Head Coach Hannah Spencer points out: “With a 63 mph exit velocity, a 3.2-second 20-yard dash, and 37 stolen bases, Destiny demonstrates speed and power that make her a dynamic threat at the plate and on the bases.” From Rincon, Ga., the athlete was named as the 2024 USSSA Gulf Shores Tournament MVP and won a Golden Glove for her middle school baseball team. Academically, she has a 3.8 GPA. 

T-24—Blakely Wimmer, P, PA Chaos 12U – Parker
Blakely is an accomplished all-around player who excels in the circle, on the field and at bat. Head Coach Jamie Parker states: “She has power, speed, composure, and a high softball IQ.” In the Fall season, Blakely hit .368 while producing a 2.49 ERA with 114 strikeouts in 81.1 innings and allowed opposing offenses to hit just .186 against her. The student-athlete has a 4.0 in the classroom and attends Coatesville Scott Middle School in Parkersburg, Pa. Also last Fall, Blakely ran cross country for her school.

T-23—Kyndall Jones, C, Firecrackers GA 2011 – Wooley
Kyndall competed at a high level in travel ball last year while playing a year about her grade level. A three-sport athlete who also plays basketball and runs track, she received the Big Bat Award for most power on her team while also making 100 percent of her steal attempts. Kyndall had a .403 batting average and a 1.074 OPS last year and elevated her game even further with runners in scoring position as she hit .450. She plays at the 14U level and attends Creekland Middle School in Canton, Ga

T-23—Wyn Teran, C, Extreme 2030 – Pena
Wyn is a dynamic power-hitting catcher with exceptional command behind the plate. She posted an outstanding .494 batting average, a .589 on-base percentage, a 1.486 OPS, and .896 slugging percentage showing she can hit for both power and average. Head Coach Raul Pena says: “Wyn has been a crucial part of the success of this team (Extreme 2030, which previously was Universal 2012 Kelly/Horton). She is a consistent power hitter who hits the ball with controlled power and ideal contact. The team relies on her to come through in key game moments and command her position in the cleanup batting slot. In addition to her talent at the plate, Wyn is confident behind the plate and plays with the composure and confidence of players above her age group.” She also brings a light-hearted attitude to the team, according to Coach Pena, and “is known for doing everything with a smile.”

T-22—Maleah Coloma, IF, Corona Angels – Tyson 2011
Maleah is a dynamic infielder who competes at a high level with the Corona Angels – Tyson 2011 team. The right-hander plays shortstop and, in January of last year (2024), joined the Angels after starting her travel ball journey with the Ohana Tigers organization in 2020. Although Maleah is in the graduating Class of 2030, she has played with the Class of 2029 age group her entire softball career. Head Coach Dominique Tyson says: “Maleah brings leadership to the infield and is always looking for a way to build on her game. She definitely has a bright future, and is a name to look out for in the future.” Maleah has built her reputation as a power hitter and, as the youngest girl on the team, led her Angels team in home runs. She also hit a OTF in a 14U tournament as a 6th grader. In 2023, Maleah was selected to play in the Triple Crown World Series All-Star Game. This year in October of 2024, the California athlete was invited to join the 14U Tyson/Perez team but was asked by Coach Tyson to play another year of 12U to help lead the new team.

T-22—Harper Lowe, IF, Beverly Bandits Premier Ault
Harper is from Clarkston, Mich. and has been a major reason for Ty Ault’s team going 54-1 last Summer and then 34-1 in the Fall. She’s a dangerous power hitter who smashed five home runs in the Fall season alone with great stats across the board offensively including a .481 batting average, a .582 on-base percentage, a 1.409 slugging percentage and a 1.409 OPS. Harper’s honors including being name to the USSSA Select 30 team, being a two-time USSSA All-American and helping the Bandits capture the USSSA Midwest Championship last summer. On defense, the 2030 grad is also accomplished with a .941 fielding percentage.

T-21—Margaret (Maggie) Betenbaugh, P, Atlanta Vipers 2012 Trahan 12U
“Maggie is a rare gem in the softball world being a true utility player,” Head Coach Chad Trahan says. “She can successfully execute all nine positions on the field and has been an outstanding leader on our roster. Maggie’s athleticism and work ethic are unmatched.” Whether she’s holding a softball or training in the fields of speed, agility and weightlifting, Maggie continues to turn heads across the Southeast. She’s the type of player who wants the ball; does not back down from a challenge and is a strong competitor. Maggie throws in the high 50’s with a change-up of 42-43 mph. Coach Trahan adds: “Her control and accuracy while pitching has been crucial in reinforcing our team’s defense.” As a testament to her versatility, Maggie competed in the USSSA Florida/Georgia Summer All-State Game last year and won both the big bat and power-hitting competitions. In 2024, the two-way standout batted .576 with a .944 fielding percentage and a 2.88 ERA. Maggie also carries a 4.0 GPA.

T-21—Giuliana Patterson, OF, Atlanta Vipers 12U – Patterson
Giuliana is one of the nation’s most athletic and mentally tough players, excelling at tracking the ball and consistently making big plays in centerfield. Fearless in her approach, she frequently dives for balls often robbing opponents of big hits with her relentless effort and determination to win. Giuliana’s speed allows her to cover vast ground, making her a defensive standout. Head Coach Selena Collins-Patterson explains, “Her energy on the field is electric and exciting to watch. She brings an unmatched intensity and is a fierce competitor in every aspect of the game.” A southpaw in the circle, Giuliana displays an impressive mix of pitches and consistently delivers when called upon. Offensively, she wields a powerful left-handed bat making her a dual threat. The outfielder’s stat-line was stellar last year: 121 hits in 287 at-bats with a .420 batting average, a .450 on-base percentage and 20 steals. Her athletic pedigree is special: Giuliana’s father, Corey Patterson, had an MLB career that spanned nearly 10 years including time with the Chicago Cubs. Her mother, Selena Collins, was an All-American catcher at Texas A&M and was later inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame. She later played on the USA National Team and spent three seasons in the NPF league, one with the Houston Thunder and two with the Chicago Bandits.
