Skylar “Sky” Stokes is a 2014 birth year athlete in the Class of 2033 and a rising star in 10U softball who lives in the Elk Grove, Calif. area in Northern California.

For much of her young career, the young shortstop and centerfielder has swung a DeMarini bat which served her well throughout the Fall season.

Her performance spoke for itself, and she finished the Fall with outstanding numbers:

• Batting Average: .669
• Hits: 79
• Singles: 50
• Doubles: 14
• Triples: 11
• In-The-Park Home Runs: 4
• RBIs: 45
• Runs Scored: 125
• Stolen Bases: 127

Sky is especially proud of her team’s success.

The Sorcerers 10U – Boyett team out of Lincoln, Calif, led by Head Coach Donnie Boyett, wrapped up the fall season with an impressive 43–3 record and earned recognition as one of the top 10U teams in Northern California.

During the offseason, Sky stayed locked in.

She trained 5–6 days a week, focusing on conditioning, speed, agility, hitting, and fielding with her trainer Ray Stokes (who happens to be her father!).

Her dad is a training instructor who runs his own private indoor gym called SRS TRAINING (Instagram: coach_ray_baseball).

A former pro baseball player, once his playing days ended he went into training full time and today works with a lot of baseball and softball players, too, to improve their speed and agility, hitting and defense.

He really stresses teaching fundamentals and Sky has been a major beneficiary of his work!

It was during this grind that Sky became curious about trying the Ghost bat. Coach Donnie let her test out a used one, and it didn’t take long for her to fall in love with it.

Sky also draws inspiration from college softball star NiJaree Canady, so when the new Ghost Unlimited was released, it was an easy choice.

She couldn’t wait to get her hands on it—and the timing couldn’t have been better, arriving just ahead of the Spring and Summer 2026 seasons.

Thanks to her parent’s generosity, Sky was able to secure one of the new bat releases and, let’s just say, it’s not hard to get a read of what she thinks of it:

Sky is loving her new bat. and it’s been worth every penny. With her dad being a hitting coach, he felt it was a great investment and feels confident it will take her well into her 12U journey beginning in fall.

Sky says her favorite part is the sound of the ball coming off the bat, and of course, she loves that it’s pink—one of her favorite colors!

Last weekend, her team went 5-0 to win the gold championship in the Bownett Challenge held last weekend (Jan. 31-Feb. 1) in Sacramento.

Sky had a great weekend – yes, using her new bat — including an inside-the-park home run, a triple, five runs knocked in, seven runs scored and four stolen bases.

Looks like she’s broken in her new bat pretty well so far!

Looking ahead, the team’s upcoming schedule will be PGF-heavy, with several trips to Southern California.

Sky and her teammates have set high goals and are ready to compete at the highest level as they chase a championship at the 2026 PGF Nationals.

And, of course, her new Ghost bat will be there every step of the way.
