This Sunday (May 11, 2025) is Mother’s Day... would you like to make it extra special?

Addison DeRoche (right) poses with her mother’s godmother and the athlete’s grandmother.

We’re giving those in the softball community the opportunity to express your gratitude and love for your mothers, step-mothers, grandmothers or whomever has been a “motherly figure” in your life.

If you’d like to pay tribute to the one who fits this role, simply send us the following:

  1. Your name (if player, list school, grad year, position, team or whatever you’d like)
  2. The name of the person you’re honoring
  3. Your relationship to this person or what she is to you (mother, step-mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbor or whatever is the tie-in)
  4. A statement of appreciation and love as appropriate… can be a sentence or more up to 2-3 paragraphs.
  5. Photo (optional… if you have one)

What a wonderful surprise it will be if you can send the link to the article or print and show this person!

Deadline: send your submission no later than Sunday at 9 am.
