Mia Negrete is not just one of the top uncommitted hitters in the Class of 2026—she’s proving herself to be one of the most dangerous offensive forces at the elite 16U club softball level.
A powerful right-handed hitter who combines elite bat speed with plate discipline, Mia is already at 11 home runs this season highlighted by a jaw-dropping game-of-a-lifetime performance at Zoom Into June where she went 3-for-3 with 6 RBIs in one game with the trio of hits all being home runs!
Not surprising, her fireworks for her Firecrackers – Leles/Enyart team earned the incoming senior recognition as the Offensive Player of the Tournament where her bat skills was the talk of the event.
“She will win a lot of games for whichever D1 team finally gets her committed,” says Firecrackers coach Russell Enyart.
“You have to know the scouting report on her when you pitch to Mia.”
The Southern California native, who recently collected her first D1 offer, isn’t just about power at the plate, however; her OPS is sky high, she hits for a high average and is prolific at driving in runs.
What is her greatest skill at the plate offensively? we ask the club coach.
“All of the above,” Coach Enyart responds simply.
Mia anchors the corner defensively at third base showing quick reactions, confident glove work and a strong arm across the diamond. Still, the 2026 grad remains humble and hungry.
“My fielding is pretty good, but there’s always room to improve. I want to work on everything.”
A standout from St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., the infielder is thriving on a Firecrackers’ roster filled with top talent from all over the Golden State.
“I honestly love this team,” she says. “The chemistry is there, and the coaches are incredibly supportive. They’re just here to help.”
