Bryli Seifert, a 5-foot-8 2027 HOT 100 infielder from Platte City, Missouri, got her initial recruiting call very early on Monday, September 1st—the first day college coaches could contact potential recruits entering their junior year of high school.
It would be the only call she’d need.
At 12:03 am, LSU Assistant Coach Bryce Neal rang Bryli up and was later joined in the conversation by Head Coach Beth Torina, it was in that conversation that the athlete heard the news she had long waited to hear.
“They said, ‘We’re interested in you and would like to offer a scholarship,’” Bryli recalls.
She didn’t commit right away but it wouldn’t take long for LSU coaches to hear that Bryli would sign with the Tigers; she had a FaceTime call later Monday afternoon with the entire LSU coaching staff and it was pretty obvious what the news was going to be.
“My family and I were all wearing LSU shirts,” Bryli laughs, “and I told them then I wanted to be a Tiger.”
Wednesday evening, the high school junior went public via social media and announced that she was committing to the SEC school:

Bryli’s credentials as one of the top prospects in the Class of 2027 are impressive. Playing for Bob Turner’s Top Gun National Team, she hit .385 with a 1.100 OPS, five home runs, 13 doubles, 39 runs and 25 RBIs.
She was named a PGF Futures All American and at PGF Nationals this year hit .462 with a home run, double, and six runs scored
At Triple Crown Nationals, she batted .560 with three home runs, three doubles, 14 RBIs, and 13 runs to be named to the 18U All-Tournament Team.
Competing at the Top Gun Select Invitational, the infielder not only made the All-Tournament Team, she was also named as the Offensive Player of the Tournament.
And as a sophomore competing for Platte County High School, Bryli repeated as a Missouri Class 5A All-State honoree (the largest class in the state).
Impressive honors for sure… and there’s one more thing that makes her family very proud: Bryli carries a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.
So what was it about LSU that led the 2027 standout to commit just hours after she was offered?
Bryli said she first knew she wanted to join the Tigers program after attending the school’s on-campus camps.
“I first went to an LSU camp in December of 2023 and fell in love with the culture and the atmosphere there. I subsequently went to other camps at LSU and I felt like that was where I was supposed to be.
And what was it about her that LSU said they like?
“The coaches would tell me at the camps that they liked how I moved up to 18U and competed with older girls.”
“Bryli was playing 18’s while most of her peers were still in 16’s,” says Coach Turner, her club head coach.
“She not only skipped the 16U division, she came up and performed in a big-time way in the heart of the order for a Top 10 team in the country.”
Coach Turner continues:
“Bryli has elite offensive ability, big power, and tremendous plate presence. That’s what all the coaches like about her game.”
The 2027 grad says that the LSU coaches told her they see her playing in the middle infield. She anticipates studying Business Marketing and is interested in teaching one day.
Now that she knows where she’s going to college, the standout athlete knows what she’s going to work on prior to her stepping foot on campus.
“I’m going to work on being more agile and quick on my feet,” she said.
And there’s more than a good chance that she’ll get to work one-on-one with her future coaching staff at future LSU softball camps—the events that first led her to falling in love with the SEC school and culminated with this week’s verbal commit.

*****
All of us here at Top Gun are very happy for and proud of Bryli. She has been in our program for 3-plus years and is one of the hardest workers that Stephanie Kim and I have ever coached. She has navigated her process well over the last two years; camping, communicating, and performing.
Her competitive spirit, while playing alongside our other outstanding talent, helped her take her game to another level this summer. She has earned this opportunity through all of her hard work and her trust in the process.
Bryli camped at many different programs, all ones she had a great deal of interest in. She went to Baton Rouge multiple times, as she just really enjoyed working with and learning from Coach Torina and her great staff. So, while it is only September 3rd, she knew in her heart that Baton Rouge was home due to all the work she did leading up to September 1st.
Thank you to LSU for providing this great opportunity for such a first class kid and wonderful family. We are looking forward to the impact Bryli makes on the Tiger program!
