With the 2027 class starting to decide what future school they’ll play at, we will periodically profile some of those who’ve committed and why.
Tonight, we go to North Carolina to learn more about a talented member of Team NC – Bowman and why she’s excited to stay in-state…

When did you officially commit?
Thursday, September 4, 2025.
How did you do it and where?
In person, on my unofficial visit.
What factors were key in your choice?
I love everything about UNC Charlotte. Especially the coaches. I first met (Head) Coach (Courtney) Breault at Clemson camps, when she coached there, and I really like the way she coached.
Once she went to Charlotte I started going to camps there and got to know her even more, along with Coach Combs and Coach Bilodeau, and now Coach Taylor.
Those relationships along with the softball facilities and such a beautiful campus really made it a very easy decision to want to be part of their program.
Did you do anything to celebrate the big decision?
I have three cousins that are currently enrolled at UNC Charlotte, so we all went out to eat and celebrated.
Did you take any official visits?
Not yet.
What did your future coaches say they liked about your game enough to offer you?
Aside from my ability on the ball field, they loved the fact that I really want to be a 49er. This is home for me, not a steppingstone. I will get my degree from UNC Charlotte.
Have they (college coaches) said how they see using you once you on campus?
We have discussed it, and it’s going to be exciting!
What, in your opinion, are some of your biggest softball accomplishments?
Winning the 2025 North Carolina 4A State Championship (High School), my club team, Team NC Bowman, placing Top 3 in every tournament including winning the Atlanta Legacy Invitational during our 2025 spring/summer season, and sharing a state title with my sister, Regan (she was a 2019 4A State Champion at South Caldwell High too)
Anything else you’d like to add about this exciting event?
During my camps and visit, I would talk to players about the coaches and program. Every one of the players would say they absolutely love it at Charlotte and wouldn’t change a thing about their decision to be a 49er! 💚
