Since last Sunday (Feb. 15), when we last published our Line Drive Master Commit Spreadsheet, 50 more players in the 2027 and 2026 classes have been added to give us over 1,700 commits since we started tracking on Sept. 1! 

And since Sept. 1, the Classes of 2026 and 2027 have seen players from all over the country–even Canada–commit.

Here’s one from a West Coast 2027 grad who will be playing next year in the Ohio Valley Conference…

Gigi Bojorquez, a 2027 middle infielder in the Corona Angels organization, committed to Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville (SIUE) in October and shares her thoughts on why she will play for the Cougs.

She told Line Drive this week she enjoyed the journey.

“The recruiting process was smooth and exciting!” she said.

“I first got introduced to the SIUE coaching staff last year in Colorado at the Corona Angels organizational workout.”

“(Head) Coach (Ben) Sorden complemented me on my glove work and team effort and I saw how the little things stand out; for example, being the first person in line for drills and even being the last to pick equipment up.”

“I committed in October after I took my unofficial visit. I really love the coaching staff/girls and the facilities. It is a really beautiful area with amazing support and I am looking forward to my next four years there!”
