Think Ciara isn’t excited to soon be a part of the Tornado softball program!

This week, the talented junior announced she’d be playing post-high school at King University, a faith-based private school in Tennessee.

She shared with Line Drive Media this weekend what led her to decide to commit to play for the Tornado softball team…

“Choosing King University was a decision that came from both my love for softball and my desire to grow as a student and person,” she began.

“Throughout my recruiting process, I wanted to find a school that felt like home—somewhere I could compete at a high level while also being surrounded by people who genuinely cared about me on and off the field. From the first conversations with the coaches and players at King, I felt welcomed and supported. They made it clear that I would not just be another athlete, but part of a family.”

Ciara continued, explaining that the Tornado college softball program met everything she was looking for.

“Softball has always been a huge part of my life, and I wanted to continue playing at the next level in a program that pushes me to be my best,” the high school junior stated.

“King University stood out because of its strong athletic culture, competitive program, and commitment to helping athletes succeed academically as well. I knew I wanted a place where I could challenge myself, improve my skills, and be surrounded by teammates who shared the same passion and work ethic. King gave me that opportunity and made me feel confident in my future there.”

Ciara stressed that the fit felt perfect in every way.

“Another big reason I chose King,” she continues, “was the environment and values the university represents. I wanted a school where I could feel comfortable, stay focused on my goals, and continue growing both personally and academically.”

“The campus, coaching staff, and overall atmosphere showed me that this was the right fit. Committing to King University feels like the start of an exciting new chapter, and I’m beyond grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way—my family, coaches, teammates, and friends.”

I’m excited to announce my commitment and cannot wait to continue my softball journey as a Tornado!”
