Some important news regarding the Line Drive HOT 100 rankings coming up next month and in early 2027:
1. the next rankings class is the current seniors–our final look at the 2027 Line Drive Media HOT 100–and the DEADLINE for player nominations is on Monday, October 26 (10 days from now!).
I had a mother of a top 2027 call yesterday stressed that her daughter wasn’t nominated in time; I assured her that there’s still time for nominations to be sent for the 2027’s.
Nominations should be submitted through our site from club or high school coaches or others that work with the athlete, such as a trainer or position coach.
Remember: the player NOMINATION DEADLINE is Monday, October 26 — a week before the rankings begin.
Here’s the schedule for the 2027 HOT 100:
Also note:
Following the Class of 2027 rankings, we move into the schedule for the 2027 calendar year which goes as follows:
The Line Drive Hot 100 is led by Line Drive Softball Executive Editor Brentt Eads, who began the softball player and team rankings format 20-plus years ago and in that time has done close to 60 grad class rankings.
Each class is updated several times leading up to the players’ high school graduation and transition into college.
For more information, contact Brentt at Brentt.Eads@LineDriveMedia.com.

In the first quarter of 2027 we will present our first look at the Class of 2032 and our second go-round on the Class of 2031.
Nominations are starting to come in for these talented players of the future in these young classes.
Again, coaches can send in player recommendations via the NOMINATION form.
Here are highlights on three 2031’s we have received nominations for and will be watching closely over the next few years along with a talented power hitter in the 2032 class we’re tracking…
*** Tensley Perry is a 2031 catcher from Bishop, Ga., who competes for the Armor Elite Premier – Branch/Perry 2030-31 team.

In the 2025-26 season, she smashed 17 home runs on 122 overall hits, drove in 91 runs, scored 100 herself, stole 50 bases and three out 21 runners while picking off three more.
Impressively, the backstop had a tremendous .989 fielding percentage.
In the initial Line Drive Media 2031 HOT 100, Tensley was ranked No. 3 overall and the No. 1 catcher.
She was selected the last two years (’25 and ’26) to the connect Sports Top 25 All-Tournament Team and twice has been a World Series Champion, in 2023 and ’25.
Her father, Kevin Branch, is the head coach for her club team and Brittany Lewis is the Oconee Country (Ga.) High head coach where she attends.
Assistant Head Coach Clay Perry explains:
“Tensley is an explosive competitor who brings power at the plate, speed on the bases, and toughness behind the dish. She can drive the ball over the fence, stretch a hit into extra bases, and challenge runners with her arm.”
“A versatile catcher, first baseman, and outfielder, she gives her team multiple ways to win.
The Peach State standout finished her school season this year hitting .633 and capped her career with a 225-foot home run.”
Coach Perry continues:
“Tensley’s relentless motor, grit, and fierce passion for the game make her a dangerous player in the Class of 2031.”
“Not only that, she’s a fun player to watch and likes to keep the game entertaining. This past year, she had over 50 stolen bases. Tensley plays hard, competes harder, and has that ‘Dawg’ in her. She’s truly one-of-a-kind.”

Brynlee Churchill is a pitcher from Odenville, Ala., who plays her club ball with Gametime VS31 Premier with Whittney White who’s the head coach.
The athlete who attends St. Clair County High play varsity as a seventh grader and was the No. 1 pitcher for her school team. Brynlee led the team to a win over the previous Alabama class 5A state champs and the No. 1 ranked team in the division in the state.
Coach White says of her star pitcher:
“Brynlee’s softball I.Q. and her drive and love for the game make her a Line Drive Media HOT 100 candidate. She continues to push herself to be better every time she steps on the field.”
“Brynlee throws in the low 60’s with incredible command of her pitches. Also, she is able to play third base at an incredibly high level.”
The athlete also plays basketball for her school in addition to being on the varsity softball team.
Among her long list of accomplishments, the Alabama standout was named the USSSA World Series MVP and was the USSSA World Series pitching speed winner.

Maila Bravo is a 2031 middle infielder and right-handed pitcher playing out of San Jose for the Cal Nuggets 14U – Woods team and has an impressive resume already.
She is a highly decorated five-tool prospect including being the Rawlings Home Run Derby champion at Cooperstown, N.Y., an All-American Games Elite Team MVP and Silver Slugger, and Maila was also featured in the 2026 All-Ripken Games.
The early scouting report on Maila is that she has a strong arm, plus velocity and speed and is a consistent gap-to-gap hitter.
The Cali underclassman helped the Nuggets make it to the PGF 14U Nationals this year and was also selected to play in the Colorado IDT All-Star Game.
The eighth grader at Castillero Middle School in San Jose has also been tested as one of the top 40-yard dash performers in her age group.

The new class that we’ll begin profiling next year will be the 2032’s and a player we’re tracking in that young group is Anna Bailey from Franklin, Ky. who plays for TN Mojo Edwards 2032/33 and attends Franklin-Simpson middle and high school softball.
A versatile athlete, she lines up at first base, left field and also pitches.
She’s known as a power hitter—in fact, since age 8 she’s had the nickname “Home Run anna” and here is a clip of her hitting a bomb over the fence in her first game this year in seventh grade to end the game.
Over the fence. Game over. #28 💣🥎 https://t.co/p1dFgQTbdd
— Anna Bailey (@AnnaBaileykl8) September 25, 2026
Anna tells Line Drive Media:
“I put in a lot of work outside of games through tee work and lessons throughout the week. Seeing that work show up on the field has made me even more excited to keep improving. I started conditioning with the high school softball team this week as I’ve been asked to move up and play. This is a great opportunity for me!”
