As part of the continuing growth of professional softball, the Florida Breeze organization based out of the Tampa Bay, Fla. areas is set to begin its inaugural season next summer and has announced that former college and pro standout Danielle Watson (Moore) will be the team’s new owner.

Watson Moore, a graduate of Florida State University in 2022, competed for the Seminoles in the 2021 Women’s College World Series championship finale won by the Oklahoma Sooners.
The All-ACC pitcher later played professionally for Athletes Unlimited (2022) and the Florida VIBE from 2022 to 2024.
The fastpitch pro team will be part of the Fastpitch United Pro League Series along with the Florida VIBE, KC Diamonds, Florida Heat, New York Rise and a soon-to be announced sixth professional team.
Watson Moore is currently the Softball Director at UMR Sports in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. which provides an indoor softball training center for lessons, camps, clinics and more and in 2027 will be expanding to feature a five-plex system of astroturf fields.
In 2026, the Fastpitch United Pro League Series schedule will feature a tour series hosted by travel softball tournaments nationwide in which the pro league teams will compete against each other before concluding with a series champion at the end of the summer schedule.
