USA Softball has officially announced that Patty Gasso has been appointed as the head coach of the USA Softball Women’s National Team (WNT).
Selected by the USA Softball Selection Review Panel, Gasso will lead the Red, White, and Blue through the 2025-2028 quadrennial cycle, which includes the LA28 Olympic Games.
With 34 seasons as a head coach to her name, Gasso has a career collegiate coaching record of 1,676-411-3 (.802) and holds a record of 1,515-352-2 (.811) at the Univ. of Oklahoma.
She has been the head softball coach for the Sooners since 1995 and has captured eight NCAA Division I National Championships and led her teams to 17 appearances in the Women’s College World Series.
A press conference was held earlier today (Tuesday, February 11) in which Coach Gasso, alongside USA Softball CEO Craig Cress, discussed her recent appointment and the team’s upcoming objectives.
