Player Spotlight: PGF Futures All-American Callee Leffler… "I Set a Goal, Develop a Plan and Execute" (Aug. 21, 2024)

What a year it’s been for 2026 lefty outfielder Callee Leffler from Schuylkill Haven, Pa.!

In that time, she joined Joe Garvey’s talented Newtown Rock Gold 18U team, was named Pennsylvania Class AAA All-State at Pine Grove High and was invited to—and competed in—the prestigious PGF Futures All-American Game played July 27 in Irvine, Calif.

Entering her junior year of high school, it’s no surprise that Callee has become one of the most coveted prospects in the Class of 2026 and is drawing serious interest from many top Power 5 programs.

Newtown Rock assistant coach Dan Santelli isn’t shy when singing the praises of his talented player:

“Calle Leffler is definitely and without question a Top 20 player in this class,” he begins.

“She is a true five-tool player with plus power and speed and hits for a high average. Calle has a sweet lefty swing that translates to all levels and is an excellent defensive centerfielder with a plus arm and range.”

The numbers back up those evaluations.

For the Pine Grove Cardinals in the Spring of ‘24, Calle batted a sizzling .611 with seven home runs, 10 triples, 28 runs batted in and 22 steals.

Over the summer, the standout talent batted .426 at the 18U club level with a 1.281 OPS, 10 homers and 21 steals.

Notably, she really stepped up her game in the biggest events: at Boulder IDT and PGF Nationals combined, for example, she batted .500 with six home runs and a 1.622 OPS competing against many of the elite 18U club players across the nation.

Line Drive Softball caught up with Calle this week to learn more about what this talented ’26 has planned ahead…
