A lot going on for those of us in the softball world this now and over the next week!

At the high school level, a few play their prep ball in the Fall while the majority of softball athlete are active in travel ball tournaments but, in some select few fortunate situations, eligible recruits are taking their on-campus official visits.

NOTE: if you are visiting a university, journal your experiences and we’ll publish it!

Some athletes, like the players on this Bandits – Ault team, are enjoying this time of the year by winning events like the Kentucky Chrome 12U Championship.

This week, we profiled dynamically talented softball sisters Kylee Savant, a 2025 grad committed to LSU, and younger sister Allie, a high school sophomore in the 2027 class:

  • click HERE to read the second one featuring Kylee (published Wednesday, Oct. 23)

The siblings from Louisiana had a fun experience Wednesday night playing Powerpuff Football and, as the quarterbacks on opposing teams, faced each other in the championship game!

Who won?  Well, let’s just say in this case, the more experienced one got the better of the young up-and-comer! Fun stuff!!!

So, softball players… what do YOU have going on right now?

Are you:

  • busy in club, high school or college softball play or training?
  • working out in the off-season?
  • competing in something else (like the Savant’s flag football activities)?
  • going full speed in non-softball or even non-athletic activities?
  • working after school to make a few bucks?
Lisey St. Jean, now a freshman softball player at North Carolina State, posed for a picture she took during her campus visit two years ago this month.

SEND US YOUR PHOTO(S) of what you’re doing at this time of the year and explain to us:

  • who you are (and how we’d know you through your softball connections),
  • what you’re doing,
  • why you’re doing it,
  • and where you’re doing it!

It doesn’t have to be fancy… it can be as simple as a phone pic and a few sentences telling us what’s keeping you busy and active heading towards the holidays!

Final but important note... I’m frequently asked in my role of Publisher:

  • “How do I get in media?” or
  • “What can I do to differentiate myself as I try to get noticed by colleges?

The answer is always the same: GET PUBLISHED!!!!

Show you wrote an article or sent in a photo that was used in the media. This adds credibility and uniqueness as you work to distinguish yourself.

In other words, get published on Line Drive Softball and you can reference that in resumes, applications and use as a talking point for being published on a nationally-prominent media site!

Does it work? YES!!!! I have dozens of success stories from those published on my media sites who’ve shared with me how it’s helped them get positive attention!!!

E-mail your photo or pics with descriptions (be sure to ID yourself and others!) including where you’re at in the photo to Brentt.Eads@LineDriveMedia.com.
