The PGF All-American Game Reveal Show was filmed today with Brentt, Daron and Amanda discussing who will play in this summer's games (with the rosters to be "revealed" in a few weeks!).

PGF News: This Summer is the 10th Anniversary of the First PGF All-American Game; Today the “Reveal” Show Was Recorded for Year No. 10! (April 20, 2026)

Ten years ago this summer, the “first annual Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) High School All-American Game was held.

It took place on Friday, July 29, 2016, at Deanna Manning Stadium in Irvine, Calif. and featured 36 elite senior players from across the country who were:

  • National & State Gatorade Players of the Year
  • USA Today and FloSoftball All-Americans
  • Players selected from the PGF Regional All-American teams.

Additionally, 17 of the top 20 players in the FloSoftball 2016 Hot 100 made the games and, if the “Hot 100” label sounds familiar, it should if you follow our site regularly… it’s what our site does today!

Sis Bates, the former Washington Husky and currently a member of the AUSL Volts pro team, played in the first-ever PGF All-American Game back in 2016.

This is Brentt Eads of Line Drive Media… I remember those teams because, well, I was at FloSoftball at the time and I’m the one who helped pick them!

Before I started Extra Inning Softball and Line Drive Media, I was at FloSoftball and was asked to be part of the PGF All-American Game selection process.

Below are the two team rosters that were chosen for each side—the same as it is still done today with an East vs. West format.

Many of the players would go on to have great collegiate careers and some, like Sis Bates and Dejah Mulipola are still playing today, currently on rosters in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) pro league.

Participants in the first PGF All-American Game which was held 10 years ago this summer.

The player roster sheet for the 2016 PGF All-American Game.

Today, in Huntington Beach, Calif. at the PGF headquarters, I was invited to once again be a guest—the “talking head,” if you will—who knows the players from working with the HOT 100 rankings process all year-round.

Along with the great Daron Sutton, who has had years of experience doing play-by-play for everyone from MLB orgs like the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Angels to college softball programs such as the Arizona Wildcats and Grand Canyon Antelopes, and softball color analyst Amanda Freed-Katchka, the former All-American pitcher for UCLA who I’ve known since our Student Sports days together, we did the taping of this year’s “Reveal” show earlier today (Monday, April 20, 2026).

Unlike the first ever PGF All-American Game which featured only seniors, today we also talked about the PGF All-American Futures Game featuring top juniors (2027 players) against sophomores (2028).

Daron Sutton, who lives in Arizona. Amanda lives in So Cal and Brentt lives in Idaho but all convened on Monday to do this year’s show!

The complete rosters for the two games will be revealed when the show is produced and released on a date TBD—but looks like it will be in early May.

Keep following Line Drive Media over the next few weeks and we’ll not only reveal who made the games but other factors such as game times, how to watch (ESPN, YouTube), the coaching staffs and more.

I can’t say who made the game yet, but this I will say: the talent in these two games is OFF… THE… CHARTS.

Between the two games, I know there are over 30 (THIRTY!) Top 10 players when considering the four teams (two senior squads plus the two underclass teams).

It’s now been 10 years that I’ve been privileged to help choose the PGF All-American teams, both seniors and now the futures as well.

To give you and idea what to look for coming in a few weeks, here’s the PGF All-American Game Reveal Show we did last summer (2025):

*****

Congrats to all those who’ll find out soon if they made the rosters and ,if you did, congratulations… we’ll see you this summer; if you didn’t keep, keep battling because there will be many more opportunities to prove yourself on a big state.

And to those young athletes who aspire to make the game someday, keep dreaming… know that many who will be in this 10th year of the prestigious game said they grew up wanting to be part of it and this summer their dreams will come true… and yours can too!
