What year it’s been for Madi Doty, the Univ. of Texas committed pitcher who had a huge summer for the Texas Glory and just this week was part of the undefeated USA team that won the 18U Women’s World Cup played in Oklahoma City.
She had a tremendous summer and in August was named to the Line Drive 2025 All-Summer Team as the right-hander went 25-1 with a 1.50 ERA. 0.800 WHIP and recorded 154 strikeouts in 112.1 innings to help the Glory win the TL Summer Championship and reach the 18U AFCS Elite 8.
A year ago at this time, she received another big honor as Madi was named the No. 1 player in the Line Drive Softball 2026 HOT 100.
Shortly after that was announced publicly, Line Drive Executive Editor Brentt Eads interviewed Madi and you can see that video below…

Last Friday, we announced the players who made the Top 10 of the 2026 Line Drive HOT 100 and, at the top of the list, it was revealed that Texas committed pitcher Madi Doty, who plays for the Texas Glory organization, is No. 1
Madi had a spectacular summer in the circle for Kevin Shelton’ s team as she won 37 games and lost only twice.
Earlier this month (Sept. 2024), she also announced her college decision to play for Head Coach Mike White at the University of Texas.
This weekend, Line Drive’s Brentt Eads sat down with Madi and asked her what it means to be recognized at the top player in her class, what helped her decide to verbal to the Longhorns and much, much more!
