This is Brentt Eads of Line Drive Softball.
One of the best parts of the summer travel ball events for me is getting to catch up with the wonderful student-athletes we cover all year round, watching them play and getting to say hello.
At the PGF Show Me the Money tournament in Newberry, Fla., I had the fun opportunity to interview Kendall Wells, whom I had previously ranked as the No. 1 catcher in the Class of 2025 and the No. 4 overall prospect.
A prolific right-handed power hitter and strong force behind the plate as well as in the infielder, she earned Georgia Class 4A All-State honors last fall and was also tabbed as the Player of the Year in 4A.
In the middle of her season for North Oconee (Bogart, Ga.) High, she also made a big decision as Kendall committed to the Univ. of Oklahoma.
In a little over a month, she’ll play at the PGF Nationals with her Georgia Impact team and will also participate in the PGF Futures All-American Game that will be played July 27th at Deanna Manning Stadium in Irvine, Calif. and will air on ESPN3.
