Line Drive Video Interview: Hilarious Follow-up with Oklahoma-Bound Catcher Kendall Wells (& How She Upset Some People at Home!)

Kendall Wells shows her excitement in being a future Sooner... but not all around her at home feel the same way!

Last week (June 21), we published a video interview with outstanding 2025 catcher Kendall Wells, who I’ve ranked previously as the top catcher in her class and No. 4 overall prospect.

Oklahoma commit Kendall Wells shares a hilarious story of why she’s not so popular at home these days!

The power hitter and outstanding backstop was at the PGF Show Me the Money tournament in Newberry, Fla., and I had the opportunity to catch with her after one of her Georgia Impact games.

Sometimes when interviewing an athlete, you’ll record some follow-up video just to make sure details are correct in the player’s background.

That’s what I was doing when an innocent-enough topic came up: “What is it like to commit to Oklahoma when you’re from a strong SEC area?”

Kendall is very funny in explaining how this is seen by those around her at home!

With her permission, I’m releasing this clip to show how truly personable this young athlete is… and what it’s like if you DON’T stay home to compete at the university that most everyone cheers for around you!!!
