Line Drive Softball Class of 2026 Position Rankings (Sept. 25, 2024)

We continue our Line Drive Softball initial look at the Class of 2026 and break down these “best of the best” players by POSITION.

Over the last month, we’ve honored these softball standouts in the Line Drive HOT 100 as well as the players #’s 101-200.

In our final look at the 2026 class for now, we honor these elite players by their positions and – as many players can take the field at multiple spots – we placed the them at the positions we feel they are mostly likely to play or were recommended to us by club and/or college coaches.

Note: we have separated the Pitcher position into two categories:

  • P – Primary (the main focus is pitching)
  • P – Duo (the pitcher plays another position and/or hits at a high level)

Other positions include:

  • C (catcher… primary position)
  • IF (infield… can play the corners or middle infield)
  • OF (outfield… can play left field, center field and/or right field)
  • UT (utility… plays many positions as needed)
