High school softball is back as some states took the field this week to begin their Spring 2026 seasons!

With it’s return, we kick off our annual series of honoring the players who get it done on the field in our Line Drive Softball High School Player of the Week series!

Our first honoree this year will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 24 and will be based on outstanding performances this week (Feb. 9-15) and next (Feb. 16-22). 

Every Tuesday for the next several months we’ll honor top performances across the country so if you or someone you know would like to have a player considered, here’s how to do it…

Nomination Process

Each week during the spring and early summer high school seasons, Line Drive Softball is honoring a National High School Player of the Week.

Honoree(s) are announced every Tuesday and the cutoff for submitting the nominations is each Monday at 5 pm EST/2 pm PST.

We’re looking for standouts who excelled in the circle, at the plate or in the field so be sure to nominate your favorite performance(s) by submitting the following:

• Player Name
• Grad Year (example: Class of 2025 or Senior)
• Position(s)
• High school team name with city/state
• Stats for the week (be as detailed as possible!)
• Up-to-date season stats if possible
• Recruiting information (if applicable)
• Any interesting background on the player
• Action photos and/or head shots
• If possible, contact info if we’d like more info or quotes
