Friday evening in Acapulco, Mexico, Team USA completed a dominating run through the 2025 U-15 Pan American Championship by defeating Mexico in the Gold Medal championship by a score of 5-0.
Behind four multi-hit performances and three doubles from the U.S. offense, the U.S. U-15 Women’s National Team (WNT) posted its final win to close out the tournament undefeated with an 8-0 record.
It was a muscle-flexing week in which the champs outscored opponents 90-2 with only three of the games seeing Team USA not score in double digits.
The closest margin of victory was a 3-2 win over a strong Puerto Rico team on Wednesday (see below for the complete results and box scores) and was the only game where Team USA’s pitching corps gave up any runs.
Yesterday’s win not only secured the Gold Medal but also qualified the team for the 2025 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Women’s World Cup.
The championship match against Mexico kicked off at 3:30 p.m. MT / 4:30 p.m. CT and saw Ashleigh Bronowicz stand out offensively for the Eagles, posting a perfect 2-for-2 day at the plate.
Amiyah Currie , Michaela Landers, and Abby Stenerson also contributed with multi-hit performances (2-for-3). In addition, Bronowicz, Landers, and Khloe Williams each hit a double in the matchup, helping propel the U.S. to victory.
Malloree Harr got the start in the circle, recording three K’s through five innings, before Maci Barnes took over in the sixth to seal the shutout win.
Harr blogged for Line Drive Softball all week, giving a great inside perspective of the unbeaten streak for Team USA. Click HERE to see her latest blog titled International News: Malloree Harr’s WBSC U-15 Women’s Pan Am Games Blog (March 28, 2025).
Today’s victory marks Team USA’s seventh tournament shutout enroute to securing the Gold Medal with Opening Round wins against Brazil, Argentina, Guatemala, and Venezuela.
The U-15 WNT picked up three more wins in Super Round over Mexico, Puerto Rico and Canada to claim the No. 1 seed going into the Gold Medal matchup.
The Eagles displayed dominance throughout the tournament, winning six out of their eight games by run-rule.
Leading the U.S. offense through the undefeated campaign was Williams, who posted a .611 batting average, followed by Landers (.600), Melody Soto (.550), and Stenerson (.533).
The U.S. pitching staff of Barnes, Leona Eichholz, Harr and Ansley Johnson shined in the eight wins — totaling 64 strikeouts while only giving up two runs through 39 innings.
