Behind a 10-run sixth inning, Team USA continued its dominance at the 2025 USA Down Under Series with a 14–0 run-rule victory over Australia.
Morgan Zerkle led the offense with a 3-for-5 showing at the plate, while Erin Coffel, Hannah Flippen and Tiare Jennings each added two hits apiece.
In her debut in the circle for the Red, White and Blue, Karlyn Pickens struck out five through four innings of work before Megan Faraimo closed out the final two frames.
The duo combined for eight strikeouts while allowing just one hit.
Quiet through the first four innings, the U.S. offense broke through in the top of the fifth following a lead-off walk to Brito and a defensive miscue that set up a fielder’s choice from Maya Brady to plate the game’s first run.

A pair of base hits from Flippen and Jennings, along with an RBI-ground out from Aubrey Leach extended the U.S. lead to 4-0.
The bats stayed hot in the top of the sixth as Team USA posted 10 runs — highlighted by a bases-loaded double from Coffel and a bases-loaded triple from Brady.
