International News: Team USA Improves to 5-0 After No-Hitter Against Australia at WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup (July 1, 2025)

International News: Team USA Improves to 5-0 After No-Hitter Against Australia at WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup (July 1, 2025)

CARONNO PERTUSELLA, Italy — The U.S. U-15 Women’s National Team (WNT) remains undefeated at the 2025 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup after clinching a 7-0 shutout victory on Monday over Australia behind a no-hit performance in the circle from Braelyn Johnson and a balanced effort at the plate.

The Eagles closed out Opening Round as the No. 1 seed in Group B and will begin Super Round tomorrow—Wednesday, July 2—against Team Mexico.

Team USA Goes 5-0:

Two Eagles Get Three Hits, Johnson Pitches a No-No

Following two scoreless innings, the U.S. bats came alive in the top of the third when Khloe Williams delivered a base hit to center to lock in the first run of the game.

Khloe Williams went 3-for-4 on Monday.

Team USA tacked on additional runs throughout the game thanks to RBI base hits off the bats of Ashleigh Bronowicz, Kyndall Johnson, Skyla Saito, Melody Soto and Williams.

Michaela Landers posted a triple in the matchup, while two U.S. batters recorded multi-hit performance —including a perfect 3-for-3 performance from Bronowicz and a 3-for-4 outing from Williams. 

In total, Team USA distributed 10 hits throughout the game, while Johnson was lights out in the circle — tossing a complete-game no-hitter while striking out the final batter of the game to seal the win.

The U.S. defense was flawless behind her, recording no errors to preserve the shutout.  

Opening Round Perfection With 60-Run Differential!

The Red, White and Blue put on a strong performance throughout Opening Round of the 2025 WBSC U-15 Women’s World Cup with a .509 team batting average and a combined 56 hits, while outscoring its opponents 61-1.

Leading the U.S. at the plate is Bronowicz with a .636 batting average followed by Landers (.583) and Allie Eicholtz (.556). The U.S. pitching staff of Maci Barnes, Leona Eichholz, B. Johnson, and Lucy Reis remains dominant with a combined 26 strikeouts – with Eichholz and B. Johnson leading the pack tossing 8 K’s each.

Team USA returns to action Wednesday, July 2, with a matchup against the No. 3 seed in Group A (Time TBD). Fans can follow schedule updates on the event page, which is linked here.
