The morning started with breakfast and a team meeting. It really hits home when you listen to the coaches, expectations and experience with USA Softball. It’s hard not to get emotional thinking about this amazing opportunity!
After the team meeting, we had some downtime before practice. Me and my teammates had some fun playing some Putt-Putt at the hotel.
After Putt-Putt, I had some downtime to rest. Then it was time for a quick lunch. The language barrier is a little difficult, so I stuck with a club sandwich and french fries. After lunch, my teammate Leona Eichholz and I were on equipment duty. We loaded the equipment and got ready to head to practice. At this time, I received some great news. My lost bat bag arrived at the hotel, right before we left for practice! (I’m) still missing my luggage. Hopefully, it shows up by the end of the day.
We then headed for a one-hour practice. During practice, we hit some BP. Let me just say, Team USA can hit some bombs! It was fun watching balls fly out of the park. I then got to do a quick pitching workout. After BP and pitching, we ran through some drills, running and stretching.
