International: Eight Team Schedule Announced for The World Games 2025 Women’s Softball Event in China This August (April 14, 2025)

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), the International World Games Association (IWGA) and the Chengdu 2025 Local Organizing Committee has announced the groups and schedule for The World Games 2025 softball events.

The men’s softball competition will run from 6 to 10 August, followed by the women’s event from 13 to 17 August. 

Each tournament will feature 20 games, with two groups of four teams, semifinals and medal games.

In the Women’s Softball Competition, the United States will be one of four countries in Group A along with host country China, Netherlands and Chinese Taipei. Group B will be made of the quartet of Australia, Canada, Japan and Puerto Rico.

The softball events will be played at the Xindu Better City Softball Arena in Chengdu, China, which is expected to be completed by mid-June.

With a total of 10 competition days and 40 games, softball features the longest schedule among the 35 sports included in the Chengdu 2025 sports program.
