The second of the two PGF All-Star Games that were played at Bill Barber Park in Irvine, Calif. on Saturday, July 26 was the PGF Seniors All-American Game the kicked off at 7 pm local time as elite seniors from across the nation represented the East & West Coasts.

Below is a recap of the Seniors All-American Game inning which featured many of the elite Class of 2026 players in their final game before they head off to play at the collegiate level.

And who took home the bragging rights?

The East team did with a thrilling 3-1 victory that came down to the final play…here’s how it was set up…

*****

1^st Inning

The red-clad West team batted first against East pitcher Kynzee Anderson, the power pitcher going to Georgia, and didn’t waste any time as Olivia Keither slapped to get on first and advanced to second on a wild pitch.

Texas signee Stevie South reached on a walk and Oregon-bound Bailey Goldberg flied deep to right field to move Keither to third with one out. South would steal second to put runners on second and third with one out.

Peyton Westra, the Oklahoma signee, took a called third strike to bring up Aubrey McLaughlin, headed to UCLA.

Anderson mixed heat, a screwball and a tough change-up, Anderson got McLaughlin swinging to end the inning with no runs and two runners left in scoring position.

In the bottom of the 1^st, the West came to the plate with leadoff Milan Torres, headed to Texas A&M, facing starting pitcher Ayla Tuua going to LSU and drew a walk.

Shayla Bahr, the outfielder going to Florida, stepped in from the left side, and struck out swinging before Aubrey Moore, the outfielder signed with Texas A&M, flied out to center on a first-pitch change-up.

Oklahoma State-bound middle infielder Dawson Blue hit a bouncer to the right side but the ball got past the second baseman for an error to bring home the first run of the game.

Tuua was able to close out the inning with a strikeout of LSU signee Addie Rackley and end the first inning with the East ahead 1-0.

2^nd Inning

The second inning started with LSU signee Sydnee Williams facing Anderson and grounding to first for the first out.

Mia Clemmer, the Texas catcher signee, but shortstop Dawson Bule make an incredible diving stop to keep the scorched grounder from getting to the grass and fired from her knees to get the out at first.

A fly out to left ended the top of the second.

Analise Dewitt began the bottom of the second for the East and the Oregon middle infielder signee hit a towering fly ball to centerfield for out No. 1

Third baseman Brielle Texada who will play at Georgia this year, also hit a high fly out to the outfield, left field for the second out for Tuua.

Auburn bound infield Leah Byrd singled cleanly between first and second to give the East a two-out runner.

Florida State signee Calle Leffler walked to put runners on second and first with the two outs. First baseman Kiya James headed to UCLA hit a grounder to third which third baseman Emoni Lam Sam, who’s Cal bound, fielded and stepped on the bag to end the inning.

3^rd Inning

Florida State signee Ava Lorenzatti took the circle for the East team and faced Lam Sam who struck out swinging.

Nebraska signee Jamie Oakland layed down the perfect bunt and used her speed to easily beat the throw to first.

Middle infielder Ava Briski who’ll attend Alabama watched a called third strike for the first out of the end.

Cacher Mayce Burkett, who signed with Kentucky, hit a grounder to shortstop who flipped to second for the third out

The West inserted Addi Thompson, a Michigan-bound pitcher, to start the bottom of the third.

The first batter she faced was Halle Bailey who signed with Tennessee and went down on a swinging third strike.

Hannah Jo Sullivan, a catcher going to Mississippi State, flied out to the outfield followed by Katie Guilliam, the catcher headed to Missouri, grounded out to third to end the inning.

4^th Inning

Addie Rackley, who won a National Championship with her 18U Premier team, Georgia Impact – Taylor earlier in the afternoon, took the mound for the East.

The LSU signee faced West hitter Emalee Cargill, the middle infielder going to Cal, stuck out and then Jordin Washington, the middle infielder signed with Oregon Stat,  flied out to third for out No. 2.

Middle infielder Violet Washington, going to Arizona, drew a two-out walk to bring up Morgan Fitzpatrick, the corner infielder signed with Notre Dame, hit a fly ball down the third base line that should have been the third out, but it fell between the two fielders who backed off and that put runners at third and second with two outs.

Goose Goodwin, the pitcher for Arizona Rising who played in today’s afternoon PGF 18U Premier National Championship, came up to bat from the left side and hit a mammoth shot to right field that was caught for the third out.

In the bottom of the inning, the East team looked to extend its 1-0 lead facing new West pitcher Alanna Clincy, going to Cal, as Addy Ware going to Florida State looked to lay down a bunt but it was fielded cleanly by third baseman Violet Mitchell who made a clean play to first.

However, the second hitter, Ava Lorenzatti,lined a shot to right field for a double.

Alex Williams, a South Carolina signee, looked to extend the Easts’ 1-0 lead but grounded to third for out No. 2 but it did allow Lorenzatti to move to third.

Bella Maria, the Auburn signed outfielder,, walked to put runners on the corners with two outs, but a throw by catcher Mayce Burkett to second baseman xxxxx allowed the infield to spring towards Williams heading back to first and she tagged her for the third out before Lorenzatti could score.

5^th Inning

Olivia Keiter, the Alabama-signed middle infielder, started the top of the 5^th for the West offense again East pitcher Lydia Berent of Stanford and lined a single up the middle to get the potential game tying run on the bases.

Stevie South, the lefty hitter going to Texas with the distinctive open hitting stance and big leg kick, grounded to short and the ball was bobbled by the shortstop for an error to put runners on second and first, still no outs.

Right-handed hitter Bailey Goldberg going to Oregon stepped in with no outs and hit a seeing-eye single between the third baseman and shortstop to load the bases.

Payton Westra hit a smoked shot but right at the East third baseman Brielle Texada going to Georgia for the first out to bring up lefty Aubrey McLaughlin who hit a deep fly out to left but it allowed the tying run to cross the plate to put the score at 1-1.

Sydney Williams stepped in the box with two outs and runners on second and first and went down on a swinging strikeout.

The West tied the game, but had bases loaded and no outs and was able to plate just one.

The West inserted Northwestern-bound pitcher Katia Nesper and she took on Bella Hebert, the Pitt-signed catcher, and got her out on a swinging strikeout.

Next up was Kynzee Anderson, the Georgia signed pitcher, who started the game for the East in the circle.  With a full count, she fouled off several pitches before hitting a dribble in the 3-4 hole that was stopped by second baseman Violet Mitchel who stretched out to get the ball and, from her knees, made the throw to first for the first out.

Lydia Berent lined a shot down the first baseline, but it was stopped quickly for just a single.

Nesper was able to get Milan Torres on a swinging strikeout to keep the score at 1-1 entering the sixth inning.

6^th Inning

Darby Burnett, the Texas A&M signee, took the mound for the East and faced Mia LClemmer, the outstanding catcher who’ll dress in Texas Longhorn colors next spring.

The pitcher won this match-up with a great change-up that Clemmer swung at and missed.

LSU-bound pitcher/hitter Ayla Tuua stepped in from the right-side but she too went down swinging.

The third great power hitter in the inning to step into the box was Emoni Lam Sam and Brunett’s tough-to-hit changing of speeds caused the Cal signee to foul off several pitches before the hitter also went down on swings, meaning Burnett struck out the side.

In the bottom of the inning, Goose Goodwin took over mound duties after batting in the 4^th inning.

The East offensive lineup started with Shayla Bahr, the outfielder going to Florida, who drew a leadoff walk.

Aubrey Moore hit a sharp grounder to short where Cal infielder signee Emalee Cargill made a tremendous stop to flip to second for the first out.

Dawson Blue drew a walk to put runners on second and first with Addie Rackley at the plate, but a wild pitch had each on the bases move up, to third and second,

Goose, however, got Rackley to swing too far for the second out of the inning and Analise DeWitt would follow with a swinging strikeout–a key missed opportunity for the East to push ahead the go-ahead run.

7^th Inning

Burnett returned on the mound for the East and quickly got two fly ball outs before Mayce Burkett of the West team lined a double to left center to put the go-ahead run on second.

Cargill stepped in from the left side and went to a full count before she flied out in foul ground down the third base line.

The East took the game to the bottom of the 7^th with Brielle Texada getting on first with a hit by pitch to get the game-winning run on base.

Two outs later, pitcher Goose Goodwin looked to send the game to extra innings, but the game ended suddenly on one pitch that cleared the outfield fence.

Two outs and two strikes and, suddenly and abruptly, outstanding utility player Kiya James ended any uncertainty about extra innings and, also, who would be the MVP of the game when she hit a two-run blast that concluded the game with an East 3-1 victory.

Kiya, who is from Des Moines, Iowa and plays on Greg Dickels Iowa Premier club team, was the second future UCLA Bruin to be awarded the MVP honors in an all-star game today after Charlize Masingale took the award from the earlier PGF Futures All-American Game.
