Event Recap: Bandits-Chow/Hardin Win Second Tournament of Fall (Sept. 22, 2024)

The LP4U Queen of the Hill Championship was held Sept. 21-22 in Peoria, IL:

14U: BEVERLY BANDITS PREMIER-CHOW/HARDIN 10, INDIANA MAGIC GOLD-HOGGATT 1

Beverly Bandits Premier-Chow/Hardin took a major step in establishing itself as the top 14U program in the Beverly Bandits organization and one of the top teams in the country by beating Indiana Magic Gold-Hoggatt, 10-1, in the championship game of the LP4U Queen of the Hill Championship on Sunday in Peoria, IL.

Bandits-Chow/Hardin also won the PGF Labor Day Showdown earlier this month in Crown Point, IN.

2028 RF Layla Termunde and 2028 2B Ashlyn Hunt each homered and drove in two runs and 2028 1B Sophia Schlader went 2 for 3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs to pace Bandits-Chow/Hardin.

2028 RHP Laynie VanAken pitched a complete game, allowing four hits, one run and striking out five in 7.0 innings to get the win for Bandits-Chow/Hardin..

Bandits-Chow/Hardin defeated Midwest Sluggers Gold-Marshall, 10-0, Tennessee Mojo-Schmeglar, 1-0, Indiana Magic Gold Futures Chicago, 8-3, Beverly Bandits Premier-Glass, 3-1, and Indiana Magic Gold-Hoggatt, 10-1, in bracket play en route to winning the tournament title.

IMG-Hoggatt beat Iowa Premier-Dickel/Paz, 9-0, Stateline Fury Red-Marszalec, 12-0, TN Mojo-Dombkowsji, 7-4, Wisconsin Lightning Premier-Eicholz, 4-3, and lost to Bandits-Chow/Hardin, 10-1, in bracket play.
