Santa Fe Inferno-Nowling tied Tampa Mustangs-Fowler, 1-1, in a rain-shortened game in the 18U championship series of the SEFL Fall Championship on Sunday at Eddie C Moore Field. They finished as co-champions.

Tampa Mustangs-Fowler, Mississippi Bombers National-Knight, Santa Fe Inferno-Nowling and EC Bullets Gold-Schnute/Bilz earned AFCS berths by reaching their winner’s bracket finals.

South Florida-committed 2027 SS/IF Maren Hornsby, South Florida-committed 2027 CF/P McKaelyn Fowler, James Madison-bound 2026 OF Kate Mitchell Compton and Georgetown-committed C/UT Stella Christie all hit over .500 for Tampa Mustangs-Fowler for the tournament.

“Qualifying for Alliance means a lot for us,” Mustangs coach Kyle Fowler said. “We already had it in our summer plans and didn’t want to change those plans. Santa Fe inferno-Nowling is a great team and their head coach Jason (Nowling) is a class act. It was unfortunate the rain came.”

Uncommitted 2027 MIF/UT Karsyn Walters (.667 AVG, 3 runs), 2029 P Rylee Swilley (.500 AVG, 5 RBIs, 1 HR; 6 IP, 9 Ks), Northwest Florida State-bound P/OF Chamiya Williams (.600 AVG), Memphis-committed 2027 C/3B/1B Cassidy Ott (.500 AVG, 3 RBIs, double), 2027 3B/MIF Kamryn Pickering (.375 AVG, 3 RBIs, double), Florida Gulf Coast-committed 2027 MI/UT Bailee Gladden (.375 AVG, 3 RBIs) and Florida-committed 2027 RHP Addison Allaire (0.70 ERA, 10 IP, 24 Ks, 1 ER).

“(I’m) very proud of our girls coming out of the weekend as SEFL champions and punching our ticket to Indiana for Alliance Nationals,” Santa e Inerno coach Jason Nowling said. “This group has been locked in all fall, finishing 29-1-3.

“I also want to mention how proud I am, as the president of Santa Fe Inferno, of our other teams — SF Inferno-Humphrey and SF Inferno-Donalson — also clinching their bid to (Alliance) Nationals in Indianapolis. (I’m) proud of the way our team competed all fall. We’ll get back to work and be ready for a big summer in 2026.”

Florida Gold-Torres (Weston), Stars National-Scott, Texas Blaze (FL) Premier-Johnson and Louisville Lady Sluggers Huecker-M/B won consolation games to earn AFCS berths.

Santa Fe Inferno 09-Donalson defeated AL Firecrackers 2028/2029-Davidson/McConnell, 8-0, in the 16U championship series at the SEFL Fall Championship on Sunday at Eddie C Moore Field.

Santa Fe Inferno 09-Donalson, AL Firecrackers 2028/2029-Davidson/McConnell, AL Sparks Elite-Stewart and Santa Fe Inferno-Humphrey earned AFCS berths by reaching their winner’s bracket finals.

“Well it’s simple! Folks keep doubting them and they keep showing up and proving them wrong,” Santa Fe Inferno coach Bam Donalson said. “We are constantly beating teams with rosters, full of Power 4 commits and we’re getting it done with an Ivy leaguer (Yale), JU kid and a FIU kid, a few 27’s that are still uncommitted and some 2028/29 babies, lol. Truly this weekend was a another statement that we are one of the best teams not only in the SEFL but in the nation. It means they BELONG in all the “Premier Events” conversations that these so-called selection/invite committees have! It means we, Santa Fe Inferno, BELONG!!!”
