18U: NEW LENOX LIGHTNING (MD) 8, TOP GUN 07 NATIONAL AR 7
Uncommitted 2025 1B/OF Jamie Saran hit a three-run homer in the top of the 7th inning to break a 5-5 tie and New Lenox Lightning (MD) held on for an 8-7 victory over Top Gun 07 National AR in the 18U final of the Triple Crown Super 72 on Sunday at Centennial Park.
With the victory, New Lenox Lightning earned a paid berth into the 18U Power Pool at Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July next summer.
Saran went 3 for 4 with a run and six RBIs to lead New Lenox Lightning’s nine-hit attack.
“It was truly a great team effort,” Saran said. “We had awesome defensive plays that kept the momentum going. We came together and fought our way through each inning. We had strong pitching and everyone had key hits. I am very proud of us to come together at the first tournament and qualify. I am very happy I was able to contribute.”
2025 C/1B/3B/CF Emma King and 2026 1B/3B/P Bethany Roper hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to help Top Gun close the gap to 8-7.
“Amazing accomplishment for the girls to come together so quickly in (the) fall,” New Lenox Lightning coach Mark Domico said. “They fought through adversity, but worked as one in beating some excellent competition! #Lightning”

16U: GEUWIN REIGN-TM 4, GEUWIN REIGN-JO 2
GenuWin Reign-TM (Tom McLaughlin) defeated GenuWin Reign-JO, 4-2, in the 16U final (GC) at Centennial Park.
With the victory, GenuWin Reign-TM earned a paid berth into the 16U Power Pool of the Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July next summer.
2026 2B Ellie McLaughlin hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 3rd inning and 2026 1B Anaiyah Gregory stole home to give GenuWin Reign-TM a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 5th inning.
2026 LHP Abby Laube allowed four hits and two run while striking out three in seven innings to record the complete game victory for GenuWin Reign-TM.

14U: NEW LENOX LIGHTNING 2010-ZM 10, IMPACT PREMIER GOLD-SHRAIBERG 3
New Lenox Lightning 2010-ZM pounded out 17 hits in a 10-3 win over Iowa Premier Gold-Shraiberg in the 14U final at Memorial Park.
With the victory, New Lenox Lightning earned a paid berth to the 14U Power Pool at the Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July next summer.
2028 LF Maille Ernser went 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs, 2028 RHP Joslynn Dole went 3 for 3 with a run and three RBIs, 2028 2B Audrey Hennings went 1 for 4 with two RBIs, 2028 C Kaylee Blocker went 3 for 3 with a run and 2028 1B Piper Hansen went 2 for 3 with two runs for New Lenox Lightning.
“Super excited about the girls’ growth and winning this tournament as only second tournament as a team while scoring 63 runs and only allowing 19,” New Lenox Lightning coach Zane Moyers said. “We are also super excited for the chance to play some of the best teams in the country by getting this power pool birth. “
