Texas is considered one of the top states in the country when it comes to producing top softball talent and Impact Gold-Jackson took the top prize, beating Texas Glory, 5-0, in the 18U final of the TFL Fall Championship on Sunday at Veterans Field in College Station, TX.

Oklahoma-committed 2026 RHP EK Smith gave up two hits over five scoreless innings along with nine strikeouts to record the victory for Impact Gold and Arkansas-bound OF Khamari Hall went 2 for 2 with a double and two runs to pace Impact Gold’s offense in the final.

Smith (.571 AVG, 8 hits, 2 HRs, 2 doubles, 9 RBIs, 2-0, 7 IP, 12 Ks, 0 runs, .083 BAA), Baylor-bound OF Jayden King (.778 AVG, 7 hits, double, 3 SBs) and Hall (.529 AVG, 9 hits, 2 doubles, 2 HRs) led Impact Gold for the tournament.

“It was a great team effort to win the TFL Fall Championship to end our fall season,” Impact Gold coach KC Jackson said. “We did a good job getting runners on and driving them in with some big hits and gutsy base running. EK Smith had a dominant outing, throwing the complete game shutout with nine Ks in the game. She excelled at attacking the zone and mixing speeds. It was exciting to end our fall with a big win.”

Texas Bombers Gold-Serie took care of Buzz Gold, 5-1, in the 16U championship of the TFL Fall Championship on Sunday at Veterans Field in College Station, TX.

2027 LHP Gisela Boitmann (21 IP, 6 hits, 2 runs, 21 Ks, 1 BB, 0.467 ERA) and uncommitted 2026 SS/OF Ainsley Morvan (.700 AVG, 7 hits, 2 HRs, 8 RBIs) led the Bombers for the tournament.

“We are excited to finish up the fall on high note as a team,” Bombers coach Dale Serie said. “The competition in this TFL tournament allows you to gauge where your team is at and what you need to focus on before the summer. We were able to go undefeated and play some really good softball.”

Texas Bombers Gold-Malpass pulled out an 8-7 win over Bombers Gold Futures-Malpass, a first-year 14U team, in the 14U championship game of the TFL Fall Championship on Sunday in Houston, TX.

Texas Bombers Gold trailed by as many as five runs, but came back to tie it and 2028 1B/3B Ava Capek belted a solo home run in the bottom of the 5th inning that gave Texas Bombers Gold an 8-7 edge.

2029 RHP Regan Christopherson pitched two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out one to lock down the victory for Texas Bombers Gold.

“This TFL Fall Championship was very important for us as a team,” Bombers coach Kristi Malpass said. “We had an off tournament (at) Super Cup. It made this team grow more and understand the process. It’s not about where you start, it’s about where you finished and we wanted to be the last one this fall after that outcome. My Bombers Gold Futures team, we have met up with twice. We train together, we work together and they are one of the strongest first-year 14U teams out there. They are coached very well and have some very talented groups. For those two groups to be the last standing in fall is truly something special and them trusting in the process.”

Christopherson has been the ace for Texas Bombers Gold this fall.

“She has thrown 42 innings (in the fall), faced 155 batters with only 10 hits and two runs scored on her all fall and none this last tournament,” Malpass said of Christopherson. “She has 60 strikeouts. This entire pitching staff has been strong all fall. We have strong arms. Following her is (2028) lefty Maliyah Lewis, who also hits 3-hole and (has a) big stick for this team, who came up clutch in two outings, one being (a) championship game HR to tie game.”

2028 MIF/CF Michaela Landers has been one of the leaders with five homers in the fall.

“Another very consistent good stick all fall and this tournament is middle infielder, 5-hole hitter (2029) Makenzie White, who has clutch hits all fall,” Malpass said.

Capek has hit a team-high nine home runs this fall. 2029 OF Courtney Latronico, a lefty and one of top sticks with .562 average on the fall season with 36 hits. She’s a speedster CF, who covers ground and puts pressure on defenses.

“We had so many players step up this event and all fall,” Malpass said. “It takes the entire team. I wish I could name them all because it’s an entire team effort with different players stepping up in different situations.”
