Event Recap: 18U/16U/14U/12U Champs Crowned at Triple Crown/Firecrackers Big League Dreams Invitational (Oct. 5, 2025)

The Triple Crown/Firecrackers Big League Dreams Invitational was Oct. 4-5 in Southern California:

18U: IMPACT GOLD NATIONAL-SIEGEL VS. CORONA ANGELS-TYSON

Impact Gold National-Siegel and Corona Angels-Tyson reached the final, but both teams decided not to play the championship game and finished a 18U co-champions on Sunday at Fountain Valley Sports Park.

2028 P Amanda Elkins, 2028 P Jaiden Gutierrez and 2027 P Sophia Debs led the Impact Gold pitching staff, which allowed one earned run and struck out 12 in 20 innings on Sunday.

2028 OF/C Olivia LePage (.500 AVG,3 doubles, 8 RBIs), 2028 C Keira Luderer (.421 AVG, 3 doubles, 6 runs), 2028 OF/SS/P/UT Trystyn Crutcher (.421 AVG, 2 HRs, 8 runs) and 2027 2B/CF Jordyn Charash (.400 AVG, 6 runs, 4 SBs) were the offensive leaders for Impact Gold.

Impact Gold National-Siegel defeated Firecrackers-Martinez, 9-1, Firecrackers RTY-Richardson, 4-0, Power Surge Gold-Walling, 2-0, Firecrackers Select RTY 2027, 4-0, and Corona Angels-Tyson, 0-0, in bracket games.

Corona Angels-Tyson defeated Firecrackers Medina-Gomez, 10-1, Firecrackers Select-Rico/Brashear, 4-1, OC Batbusters Legacy-Black, 10-0, and Impact Gold National-Siegel, 0-0, in bracket games.

16U: FIRECRACKERS SELECT RTY 2028 6, OC BATBUSTERS LEGACY-MAROON 5

2028 MIF/3B Megan Wong’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th inning gave Firecrackers Select RTY 2028 a 6-5 victory over OC Batbusters Legacy-Maroon in the 16U championship game on Sunday at Fountain Valley Sports Park.

2028 RHP Randi Barrios and 2028 Charlotte Shelton combined for the wn and 2028 MIF Gianna Acala had two hits and an RBI and Wong had two hits and two RBIs in the finals.

“It’s a great start for our 2028s,” Firecrackers coach Randy Yuge said. “There’s a bright future for this team. It really wouldn’t have been able to happen without the players’ team efforts.”

Firecrackers Select RTY defeated BSC Bengals-Holton, 7-1, USA Athletics-RML, 4-3, BSC Bengals-K. Briggs, 6-5, and OC Batbusters Legacy-Maroon, 6-5, in bracket games.

OC Batbusters Legacy-Maroon beat Firecrackers Brashear-SB, 7-6, LV Rising-Koenig/Thomason, 9-1, Power Surge National, 7-1, and lost to Firecrackers Select RTY 2028, 6-5, in bracket games.

14U: USA ATHLETICS-RAMIREZ 9, BSC BENGALS-K. BRIGGS 5

2029 P/1B Adela Hernandez helped USA Athletics-Ramirez cruise to a 9-5 victory over BSC Bengals-K. Briggs in the 14U championship game on Sunday at Big League Dreams in Perris.

Hernandez allowed one earned run and struck out nine in 6.2 innings and 2029 1B/3B Rylee Joyce had two doubles and five RBIs to lift the Athletics in the finals.

Hernandez had a tournament MVP effort, finishing with 30 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched while allowing three earned runs.

“This championship wasn’t just about winning — it was about setting a tone for the season,” Athletics coach Jennifer Ramirez said. “Every player contributed, every inning mattered and every game reflected the team’s commitment to culture, growth and grit.

“The girls are proud of what they built this weekend and are even more motivated to keep growing and continuing to push their standard of excellence every time they take the field.”

USA Athletics-Ramirez defeated SoCal Sting-Gonzalez, 7-4, Firecrackers Brashear-Bauer, 3-0, Firecrackers Brashear, 2-0, and BSC Bengals-K. Briggs, 9-5, in bracket games.

BSC Bengals-K. Briggs defeated Firecrackers Premier 2030 RTY, 12-0, BSC Bengals-R. Briggs, 6-3, and lost to USA Athletics-Ramirez, 9-5, in bracket games.

12U: FIRECRACKERS-ALLEN 6, FIRECRACKERS LELES 2031-ZEIGLER 3

Firecrackers-Allen picked up a 6-3 victory over Firecrackers Leles 2031-Zeigler in the 12U championship game on Sunday at Big League Dreams in Perris.

2032 P Charlotte Rinker scattered seven hits in 7.0 innings and had two hits and two RBIs to lead Firecrackers-Allen in the finals. 2031 Reese Nelson had two hits and scored twice and 2031 3B Jazzy Allen had two RBIs and four stolen bases.

“This championship meant a little extra because it was hosted by the Firecrackers and Triple Crown,” Firecrackers coach Amanda Allen said. “It is always a great Sunday to wear this uniform and play with honor. (I) couldn’t be prouder of the fight these girls showed today.”

Firecrackers-Allen defeated Cruisers Fastpitch 2014-Robles/Ganino, 6-5, BCS Bengals-Briggs, 13-1, and Firecrackers Leles 2031-Zeigler, 6-3, in bracket games.

Firecrackers Leles 2031-Zeigler beat Central Cal Dirtdogs-Vazquez, 5-1, and lost to Firecrackers-Allen, 6-3, in bracket games.
