This is Brentt Eads of Line Drive Media…
I’ll be at this weekend’s P5 Patriot Games presented by Triple Crown Sports and I’ll admit: it’s one of my favorite travel ball events of the year to attend.
Held in Fort Collins, Colo., it has the best of everything you want in an elite club event:
The top teams from across the nation
The best talent in the 14U, 16U and 18U age divisions
More college coaches from every level: P4’s to Divisions 2 & 3 to NAIA.
But don ‘t take my word for it—here’s what two championship-winning club coaches have to say about why they attend the P5 Patriot Games:
Impact Gold National 2029-Holmes captured the 14U title at the 2025 TFL Fall Championship.
“Patriot Games is a great tournament that gets a lot of the top teams together while also affording us the opportunity for great exposure to college coaches.”
— Chad Holmes, head coach of Impact Gold – Holmes (14U)
“The Patriot Games is an excellent opportunity for our athletes to test themselves against the best from around the country—18U, 16U and 14U. There are lots of college coaches, great facilities and great competition. It doesn’t get better and is loads of fun!
— Kevin Shelton, head of the Texas Glory organization
All told, there will be 116 teams in three age division—37 in 18U, 45 in 16U and 34 in 14U—and every region of the country will be represented.
What I love about the event is you get to see the best of the best from Alliance and PGF playing each other.
There aren’t too many events where you’ll see some of the traditional powers at PGF, such as Arizona Rising, Athletics Mercado and Birmingham Thunderbolts, to name just a few, competing against Alliance flagbearers such as the Corona Angels, Firecrackers, Texas Glory and Texas Bombers.
The venues are outstanding as well.
The Barnes Complex in Loveland, Colo. has 10 fields and will host many of the first-round matchups in each age division while the Triple Crown Sports Horsetooth stadium will host the 14U title game and Red Rock will field the 16U and 18U title games.
The title games will be held on the following dates/times:
18U: Sun. June 28—4 pm MST @ Round Rock
16U: Sat. June 27—4 pm MST @ Round Rock
14U: Sat. June 27—4 pm MST @ HT
We’ll have daily reports from each age division, including coach and player interviews, through to the finales of each age division.

Athletics Mercado-Hovermale/Tidd captured the 16U title at the P5 Patriot Games.
